Under rated games [Archive]

What games do you feel are under rated? Games that none of your friends had heard of before you mentioned it to them, and even then they laughed because it was so obscure. Games that get crap marks everywhere you look, but yet you love it.

What is your pick?

Mine is Psi Ops. It got mediocre scores everywere, and hardly anyone I know had heard of it before I invited them to come and play on it. Then, when they went to buy it, they couldn't find it anywere.

tropico for the pc!

its ****in brilliant,u build ur own island and u are the king,make an army and do what the **** u want,but u gotta grow food and **** for the ppl and make money with holiday resorts and **** lol

my mates thought i was a rite tit 4 that 1

wow someone else who's played on it! I picked Tropico up in Game about a month ago for a quid lol. It's great fun! Definately under rated.

Dawn Of War - it got voted game of the year but not many of my friends have ever heard of it.

Age of Mythology, how could I forget that game, it was badass.

Relatively unheard of though.

Probably my favourite game of all time! Just amazing and took real time strategies to a whole new level!

i always whip it out on a regular basis

they better hurry up and do age of mythology 2

the expansion pack titans was bit of a let down though

Is Age of mythology 2 in production? If it is, I'll be a very happy boy when it comes out. I agree, the expansion pack was ****.

i have heard the odd rumor nothing concrete though

i always went the greeks

and would send out an army full of medusas and turn everyone to stone llol!

I played Diablo 2 a couple of years ago, for a relatively old game, it's fun.

The greek heroes were great. I loved Arkantos and Achilles.

I never used medusas because I always picked the collosus instead.

The collosus was the key to victory in every game, if you got yourself a bunch of them you were practically unbeatable.

Them, a couple of minotaurs and a few heroes and you were practically invincible.

I liked the Centaur archers too, and the dragon you could summon.

My favourite power is probably when you can turn an egyptian pharoah into a son of osiris.

i love the level were your in a dream and control gargarensis the cyclops and katos the minotaur

I love that level. It's always great being the baddies lol. My favourite level on the game though is when you are in the norse section of the game and have just come out of the underworld and have to wait for Oddyseus. It's great walling yourself in that fortress and killing everything.

Yes indeed it was, one of my favorite rpg's.

Boogerman a Pick and Flick Adventure for the sega genesis.
Shadow of the Colossus for the ps2, one of the most original games to come out recently. It got good reviews in magazines but people seemed to just forget about it.
Gunstar Heroes for sega, although it spawnd a remake for the gameboy advanced it's still very underated in my eyes, one of the best side scroll shooter you'll play but very long.
Valkyrie Profile for the psx
Suikoden II for the psx, more of a cult following.
Mark of Kri for the ps2

I shouldn't have added the, "but it's very long", statement, kind makes it sound like it's a problem. It's one of those games where each level get's better. yeah my bro and I used to play it like crazy.
