I normally just call it a drink. I don't drink carbonated beverages often, so I don't have to worry about it, but if I have the choice of calling it soda or pop, I choose pop.

Its pop. How did they get the idea that people in the south (redneckland) call it soda? Ive lived in michigan for 10 years and Tennessee for 11, and have only heard people in the south refer to as everykind of drink "coke" Beware its ofter you hear "Gimme a coke with my samich".
