K I dont really care how much matt hughes fans there is out there but GSP is gonna shut him up and send him back to the farm. Maybe Sad for the matt hughes followers but true. Matt hughes is jus way too cocky, his ego went sky high after he won the belt and now its time for canada to take it away from him.:boxing: I bet anybody after GSP wins, matt hughes will make up some excuse and want another shot...another beating:owned:

matt's time is up this month.

i hope u right....im pulling for GSP as well....after watching how he acted towards GSP on the ultimate fighter 4 when he was a guest GSP showed true sportsmanship by not allowing his remarks to spark a fight....but come fight night it will be matt hughes hopefully knocked out or tapping....

I agree with everything that you said but I still think Matt will win . Right now Matt is just to strong and to well trained to be beat. But I hope GSP gets his respect out of Matt when they fight .

ok last night when the interviewed matt and georges, why the heck is matt hughes saying that he now knows what the kind of person gsp is by disrespecting him after his BJ Penn fight. Matt hughes has to stop and listen to the stuff that comes outta his mouth. Glad gsp cleared that up by tellin matt that he has been more disrespectul towards him. This is the only fight so far where im emotionally involved, go canada, go gsp!

Matt Hughes is dead by the end of the night. The first time GSP gave too much respect to the myth of Matt Hughes. Just because the guy has trouble speaking English doesn't mean he is stupid.

If that retirement rumor is actually true with hughes I think he will retire sooner than we all think this weekend. GSP really wants it this time, he seemed confident in the interview last night, wasnt idolizing hughes so I believe i see a title change this saturday. go GSP!

Hell no, Matt Hughes is the man and will win the fight. I dont think it will be a dominated fight, but I do think that Matt will win by submission or stopage. I hate to say it but Matts stand up is a little bad, but he still can stand up with any fighter. That and GSP's takedown defense cant handle Hughes. I am going for Hughes, I think it had nothing to do with the BJ Penn fight, but the fact that Matt barely won the last fight against GSP, so I think Matt has been training hardcore.

It will definatly be worth seeing.

Matt Hughes is training hard cause he knows he has a very tough opponent this time and last time gsp fought hughes, GSP was winning that round until he gave the win to matt with that silly arm bar. Matt Hughes is lucky that Georges didnt capitalize on him after he gave him that sweet kick to his stomach. It looked like hughes panicked after he got rocked in the stomach and threw bum punches and tried a sloppy take down. Im sure everyone seen that. GSP will win this one, im pretty sure of it.

We'll see, its obvious that Matt almost lost the first fight, but that is because he under preppared for the fight. Now he knows what he is like in the cage, he knows to be serious. He did the same thing with BJ Penn, didnt take training seriously because he had no respect for Penn, and then he lost because Penn was more ready than he was. He admited to both things, and has changed his training habits and trains excessive now. He is the best welterweight, and will always be. Next in line is definatly St.Pierre though.

Matt Hughes started taking training serious after he lost the belt, so he was training hard when goin against bj penn and GSP. Didnt u watch all access with matt hughes last night? he mentioned it himself that he took training serious after he lost it to bj penn. Dont try to make excuses for his pooor performance against bj penn and gsp.

Im not making excuses, I am saying that he is still a fighter that learns new things with every training session. His performances werent poor, it just seemed that way because both fights he was fighting guys who trained a hell of a lot heavier than he did. I think Matt learns from each fight, which is what led to his victory against Penn in the second fight. It wasnt that he took the fight on short notice or was hurt or just not fighting at his fullest, Penn left the UFC and when he came back, he singled Matt out and made one hell of a comeback.

That loss was the best thing for Hughes and he learned a lot from his opponent, and when he came back to fight again he was ready because Penn didnt really change anything up about his fighting, but Hughes always has something new or unused, sometimes it works, sometimes it bites him in the ass, but he always seems to bounce back when you think he is out.

no no no u are wrong, so wrong. Nothing changed, the only thing that changed was BJ Penn's training, his cardio was horrible but BJ Penn would have done the same damn thing to Hughes if he didnt gas out in the 3rd round. so ya I seen tha same matt hughes as the 1st fight, getting his ass kicked by bj penn until his lungs ran out.

Its not Matts fault that Penn didnt realize his cardio sucked, I mean if I were to go up against any fighter that knew what he was doing, I would want to be very well trained over all. I would especially want to be able to last all rounds. This seems to be the reason the Ken Shamrock team in the ultimate fighter 3 lost to Ortizs' team, because Ortiz was a much better coach and instilled a lot of conditioning so the fighters would last in the fight.

Though I dont like Ortiz that much because he seems to talk too much shit, he was still a damn good coach and I would love to train under him. As long as he kept his mouth shut so I wouldnt have to have a horribly failed attempt at kicking his ass.

Matt Hughes is jus tha same way at ortiz is, talks alot of shit and lotta disrespect to other fighters, not jus the person he fighting but other fighters too. He does look like a stuck up jock farm boy who thinks his shit dont stink. If he were to lose this saturday...which i hope he does I will laugh at him when he is crying in the octagon in front of millions of fans. And cheer on our canadian fighter georges st pierre, and have a celebration afterwards.

i really dislike matt hughes as a person, i've known very many ignornant farmboy jocks in my time, but he's the man in the welterweight division, and the most dominant champ ever. still, i'm canadian and hope this time GSP will give hughes the beating he didn't get the chance to give last time. hughes will be better, from the interview i've seen it looked like GSP really got under his skin, it's personal now. i hope GSP has improved enough as a fighter to humble matt hughes. i don't think GSP will win, i want him to, but i think he will give hughes a really hard fight, maybe bust him up a little

yes that would be nice to see matt hughes get punched up and hurt, but even better to see this guy lose. I only seen him lose once against bj penn, but i liked matt hughes back then. Now his attitude is ****ed and doesnt act like a pro. go gsp
