despite vlads chin i think he could take care of tyson early he may be able to knock tyson out late but my money is on tyson somewhere between 3 and 7

Vitali could have achieved so much more had he not in jured himself. I think Vitali, the calibre he was would have been the best opponent Tyson had ever fought, aside from Lennox and Holyfield.
I mean the best opponent Tyson had fought in Tysons so called prime. Vitali was better than Ruddock, old Holmes and Tucker. So i think Vitali may have nicked this one. But more than likely Tyson would have decisioned this one. It is one i would have liked to have seen though man.

remember tyson had trouble with tall openets

in his prime he really didnt. they just said that. and ne1 would have trouble with opponents when all they do is hold

vitali, wins. he was strong enough and fast enough to keep tyson away with straight punches. this would be a very frustrating night for mike.

Even though i think Vitali was good. I dont really have any idea where he will be ranked in the all time heavy list. Not really being raved about really. Similar to Tyson in that Tyson is being penalized for having a short reign even though people acknowledge Tyson at his best was as formidable as any heavyweight theres been.

Tyson gets my vote,i think Vitali would find it hard to catch Tyson with enough clean shots to take him.His defence was top draw in his prime,hand speed would be a factor as well.
It wouldn't be easy,but i would go for Tyson by tko late or ud.

I see this as very competitive fight. Klit is taller, heavier, stronger and perhaps better than anyone Tyson fought in his prime. VK's chin is much better than that of his brother and I can see all of his natural advantages coming together in the fight.
I do see though that Tyson's speed and ferocity will also come to show in the fight.

It's a pickem fight. I can see Tyson wining on cuts late in the fight or by decision. I can also just as easily see Klit stopping Tyson mid to late or even winning a decision. Klits better and bigger than Douglas so this fight could quite easily go to him.

I think Vitali Klitschko's sheer physical strength could play a big factor. Tyson was a big puncher, but Holyfield showed he only had decent strength. Klitschko also showed he had a great chin, so Tyson could become frustrated seeing him stand up after a few big shots. Hard one to call, but Klitschko is a better fighter than most of Tyson's early opponents, thats for sure. If Douglas could beat Tyson, I don't see any reason why Klitschko couldn't.

50/50 IMO

It's hard to look at the comparison of Tyson's strength with Holyfield's when Evander's "Nutrition Program" has been questioned for years.

Taller/bigger opponents, when forced to fight out of their normal pace tend to fatigue faster...when Taller/bigger opponents fought Mike in his prime they held him throughout the fight...Mike's style has a Need for his opponent to throw a punch, in order to leave an open target to be hit.

Mike was a massive body attacker in his prime, something he didn't do much of after Rooney...even with Holyfield, he had him hurt to the body, but didn't follow up.

And with the Douglas loss, do we really need to go into this again?

Im not sure whether mike tyson would have the mental ability to overcome Klitschkos charm. At the end of the day tyson was completely inept at fighting anyone with a scrap of intelligence, he would be finished somewhere between the 10th and 11th round. Klitschko on the other hand would get knocked out.

I could see Tyson having trouble with Vitali....Vitali is one of the best HW of the last number of years....He may in fact be one of the hardest fighters Tyson would have to fight...Vitali is taller, heavier, stronger then most of Tyson's other opponents..He's got a decent chin.....The only thing playing against him is how easily he cuts....

Prime Tyson is strong, fast, defensively sound, and all around a killer....His stamina is questionable...Even prime Tyson only went a full 12 rounds a couple of times and no one that took him that whole 12 rounds was still as fresh as they were earlier...This is where I see Vitali showing hope, he could keep Tyson going into later rounds and still be throwing hard...

I see Vitali Giving Tyson a good fight, throwing crisp jabs and getting good shots in on Tyson. At the same time I see Tyson being able to bob and weave his way into the inside and doing some real damage and giving Vitali a hard time...

Overall I see Tyson either winning by KO inside of 7
or TKO inside of 9 (thats granted Klitchko has cuts Tysons trying to make worse [similar to the Lennox Lewis fight])

anything beyonee 9 rounds I see Klitchko beating Tyson by a UD...maybe even Late KO...

It maybe that the Lennox Lewis fight tainted us into thinking he cut easily....

eh its the same thing with Marciano..everybody always said that if he fought a good out boxer that he'd get TKO'd on cuts...and yet he was rarely cut...He was cut bad for during the Charles fight (first one I believe), the first Walcott fight, and maybe one other...thats three out of 49...yet he cuts easily... what can you do :nonono:

Its surprising that so many people pick Vitali as a winner in this fight... You people don't realize how fast Tyson would be for Klitschko. Klitschko never went against anyone like that. Tyson would KO him with the peek-a-boo style.

yeah apparently Marciano pulled the two parts of his split nose apart so he could breath. Charlie Goldman told him "You'd beter knock him out quickly or you'll bleed to death!" Marciano went out and KO'd Charles!

I like Vitaly, and he would be a big challenge for Tyson. His superb strenght could become a problem for him, but i've seen tyson overcome that more than once. I support Tyson as the winner.

Thats not a fight its a MASSACRE!!! Tyson and with considerable ease! I dont really rate Dr Iron fist that highly. Lewis made em look good by showing up fat and old. I'll say this for em tho the beating he gave Williams was 1 of the most brutal ive seen!:owned:

Tyson would knock him out relatively easily. Vitali doesn't have much of an inside game and he's not good enough to keep Tyson on the outside and dictate. Tyson would get in relatively easily and land his big left hooks and combinations leading to stoppage within 6 rounds.
