Firtsly Oquendo is not a B level fighter, and I do feel that Byrd lost that fight by 2 points, however it is not his fault that there were incompetent judges scoring the fight. Byrd lost that fight, no excuses! Secondly Golota is not old and shot, he is only 36 and he fought a great fight againste a slick southpaw boxer. Byrd did beat Golota and even rocked him a few times, it was close but I had him winning by 2 points. Byrd stuggles against large men as he did with Vitali, Wlad, and Ike. No excuses its just a case of men who could be in a seperate weight class beating up on a naturally smaller guy.

Well it looks like I finally agree with Black Jesus. Maskaev outboxed Tua as well before Tua KO'd him. Is Maskaev an A level fighter? Oquendo = B level fighter until he beats anyone besides tomato cans.

As for Ruiz, I think we can all agree that Jay Nady should be his official ref. With Nady, Ruiz wouldn't be able to beat anyone.

As for Wlad I would say that it was a combination of a new style that requires more footwork and thus more movement which he did not take into effect. Throw the fact that he was throwing his second highest punches per round next to the Mercer fight and he was bound to collapse. There may also have been a mental issue with him being so tense and stressed that it caused him to overly tire or he may have just been sick because he looked no where near as bad as he looked after the Purrity fight as he did after the Brewster fight.

My argument is, I can't stand it when people call for Wladimir to retire. Seems ludicrous to me. If an accomplished fighter still has his wits about him and he's young enough (28 in Wladimirs case) then there's still a chance he can recover and turn his career around. It's happened countless times in the past. Lewis, for example got KO'ed a couple times and recovered.

In Wladimirs case, I don't know if he will recover or not. I don't know if he will ever live up to the expectations of some. But I do think he's accomplished enough and earned the right to discover his own destiny/fate. He's only 28. Some boxers start their pro career at 28. Even if he only becomes an OK fighter, boxing needs him.

Regarding your negative (hater's) comments, many fighters have recovered from a shaken confidence and KO losses and many have not. Why shouldn't Wladimir be given the chance to see if he can do the same. He deserves/earned that much.

I am not holding those loses against Pacman. I was merely pointing out that he has lost to lesser opposition just like Wlad has. I would say that Brewster is a lesser fighter, but Sanders is an A level fighter for the first 2 or 3 rounds of every fight. If he ever actually trained and fought every round more or less like he was able to fight the early rounds of fights, Sanders would be a top 5 heavyweight.

If Wlad fights Byrd five times, Wlad defeats Byrd all five times. Wlad has no fear of getting hit by Byrd. Wlad's fear comes from big punchers or big guy's. That's why I think he'll destroy Brewster if they face one another again and he'll also defeat Ruiz who is not considered a big puncher. Now if he faces Whitaker, Golota, Harrison, Tyson, Williams the outcome may be different because he fears getting hit by these guy's. It is a psychological demon that he needs to defeat.
