I am sick and tired of notdoin **** so i'm gettin off my ass and doin ****!

I want to go work some cardio right now cardio room doesn;t open till 12 and i havent slept yet and i wanted to work out before i eat ****!

tonight i'm goin to do some Jiu-Jitsu. hopefully my knee doesn't **** up.

mabye do some boxing before JJ. i will keep you updated.

Doc appointment on friday. wish me luck taht my knee isn't carear ending or in need of surgury.

OK my whole routine is shot to **** since i have been inactive for over 6 weeks.

i need some sugestionson how to get back on my feet.

burt training, stamina, toning, and weight loss is what i need to do.

take into consideration i got a knee injury.

Just got back form Jiu-Jitsu. I had a great time my cardio SUCK ****! i was winded after ten min buti got back to normal after about 2 min sitting so not bad all in all.

its not BJJ its TJJ but the teacher understands i'm tryin to fight NHB so he is cool about it. i'm doin this till after winter break then i should be heading over to Marcelo Silveira's school.

but this guy saidi can train for free whenever i want!!!!

wtf happend to your knee? and why not try rollin around starting fromt he knees, but you can lay on your thigh. :?

the guy i fought swear to god weighed 310lbs i elevatored him and i guess it was just to much for my knee. the next day it started togive out so i went ot hte dog i got a cartledge build up ot soem **** i see a doc friday to get definate. my knee didn;t hurt while rolling so i guess its better than i originally thought it was (tahts good)

oh and my throws are ALOT cleaner now.

wierd i haven;t trained in 6 weeks and i'm doin better?!?!?!?

i was thinking about technique constantyl mabye that was it?

todays work out:
cardio- waiting tables for 3.5 hours.

i get to eat once a day if i'm luck for the next 3 weeks. i'm prolly gonna drop alot of weight :).

****in winter break with the closed cafateria.
and even eating just 1 time a day i'll be broke in no time.

I AM OFF THE INJURED LIST!!!!!

I saw my doc today he told me taht everyhtign appears o be intact and that i can go back to training as normal, worse comes to worse get an athletic knee sapport. if it still hurts in a month go back and get an MRI.

ok now I gotta come up with some cardio to do.

I'm working with one of the kids on my swim team. he says if i follow what he tells me I will drop the weight like its nothing! he wants to start by strengthening my base.

he says ishould do this for 2 - 4 weeks

3 - 4 sets of 20 these go together so back to back. Go through the list once then repeat.
Squats
Lunge
Jump Lunge
3 - 4 sets of 10 Jump Squat
Twisters

2 sets of 24 sprinters


2 min Bridges 1 min up 30 sec rest 1 min up
Crab Stance


5 sets of 5 Romanian dead lift

That looks good Ben...you will definitely improve your explosiveness, and also your acrdio will improve with it. SOunds similar to a lot of the PT I did when I was in the Army and they were some of the hardest sessions I have ever had

Keep us posted how it goes as I am sure some of us, myself included would consider such an idea.

do the above with 15 - 30 of shadow boxing?

aside from helping my hands and getting me used ot throwin punches what does it help, cause alot of old school boxers were ripped and they never touched weights

just got done with a1/2 hour of boxing and 1/2 hour if weights my shoulders are sore they are straining to type. I need to up my boxing time.

i realize my right legged kicks are HARD AS HELL, but my shins arn;t used to makin contact with other things, gotta work on that.

Some kid a hell of alot smaller than me challenged me to spar today, I told him its my first day back and to ask me on thurs or fri and i will do it. i think i out weigh the kid by 100lbs, so either he is really good,really fast, has HUGE balls, or doesn't realize how big i am.

got Jiu Jitsu at 7:30. its a fun filled night. hopefully my arms are less tired by then.

I can't seem to kick proper without a target so i can;t kick when i shadow box.

the kid is off his rocker i talked ot the trainer today, he says the kid has been commin for 2 years and has never hit the bags, just walks around and tries to get in the ring.

i might start sparring next week. i'm very happy about that.

i saw my old boss today she says i'm withering away, aparently my weight loss is noticable. thats good!

Ok so today was quite tiring!

I go to box at 3 leave at 5:30 come home eat and check the net, then at 7:30 go to JJ.

I walk in and see this kid Bruno (Blue belt under Edson Diniz 145lbs title holder for absolute fighting and a member of american top team) who had come to my Judo class before and was messing with one of the Black Belts there.

anyway I roll with him for about an hour we talk about brasil and fighitng and which top team school to go to etc. etc. afterward he says he wants to take me to his school to introduce me to his instructor. says if i signed up i would get my blue belt very quickly around a month because i knwo all the **** he said. I was very happy about that.

i think I might have hurt my elbow when i was getting out of his armbar though. I'm gonna get some ice.

WOW I just kicked my own ass!

I started a bust training program today as soon as i got home from work.

Its only sapposed to take between 3 and 6 min to do, and holly **** it just kicked my ass i couldn't really finish even.

it consistes of

3 - 4 sets of 20 these go together so back to back. through the list once then repeat.
Squats
Lunge
Jump Lunge
3 - 4 sets of 10 Jump Squat
Twisters

2 sets of 24 sprinters


2 min Bridges 1 min up 30 sec rest 1 min up
Crab Stance


5 sets of 5 Romanian dead lift

Holy **** man give this a shot it sapposed to strengthen your base ALOT and really help with your burst ability.

anyway, I just finished another session I forced myself to do at least 3 sets this time. I still can't hold the Bridge for more than 45 sec So i'm gonna work on that.

Sprinters - crunches BUT bring right elbow to left knee and vise versa

twisters - feet 6 inches off the ground shoulders 6 inches off the ground hold a weight (i do 10 lbs cause thats all i got) out in front of youwith both hands, twist to the left then the right with just your shoulder (its for your lats)

bridge - get on your toes & elbows. keep your body as flat as possible. works legs,lowerback, abs

crab stance - like back bend but instead of hands goin over head then go straight down from the shoulders. keep your hips as high as possible.

Just got back from my training with Edson Diniz (155lbs WEF champ) looks like I found the guy i wanan train under.

He said he would train me in Vale Tudo no problem BUT I can't fight till he says i am ready. (no problem here)

$100 a month 5-6 days a week no registration fee.

what do you think?

Did 2 hours of BJJ then went out with a nice young lady.

I got my ass kicked today up and down by a 250lb Judo player/body builder who does BJJ for ****s and giggles (and is good at it). and by some FED who is 6'6". I was teachin him triangles (how to be more smooth and make them really affective) HOLY **** is all i gotta say.

Friday = no gi and i was told to bring my gloves :)

HAHAHAHAHA I AM SO ****IN EXCITED!!!!!

Today I rolled with a green belt ( never seen one in BJJ before but he was there) any way i schooled him pretty decent we were 3 to 3 when we ended BUT I would have had more but Edson said no footlocks (I'd of had him like 5 or 6 moer times).

anyway i got some killer mat burn and took off a big chunk of skin off my foot.

now good news Edson pulled me to the side said in 6 months i will be fighting NHB he said he will train me to be a champion no less!

I should be at 200lbs by then should start hydroxycut tomarrow i think and hopefully be shreded within the next 3.

I was so pumped i actually called my mom she was excited about it after i assured her i wouldn't drop out of school.

Started Ripped Fuel again today, last time it didn't go so good i developed agression problems. hopefully this time will be better.

I feel kinda figity i dunno if its energy or if my body doesn;t like it.

I'm goin to box now 3:14. and i got BJJ at 7pm then i think i'm gonna go see Math Girl :) .


any of you use Ripped Fuel kinda stuff? what do you think?

Droping out of school is my mom biggest problem too. She yells at me when I say I train 6 days and week. Good luck with the ripped fuel, I'm going to start using metabolean for men soon. I hope it helps with the extra weight.

someone might as well shoot me in the ****ing face.

just last night i get great news Edson wants me to fight in a couple months he wants to work with me alot and get me really god. he wants to make me a champion.

Tonight I go to class and in ****ing practice of all the bull **** agains some other white belt that i was SCHOOLING i step over for and armbar and he rolls with me (no prob) but either I was to upright or the is to flat and I ****ED my shoulder straight into the matt and all i hear is a big "CRACK" i scream once just fro mthe shock. and i'm ****in out.

I"M OUT!

I'M INACTIVE FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG!

They all tel me itsno big thing it happens to all of us. So i'm like alright cool no prob. I start driving home and i nearly start crying it hurt so much then i start laughing.

I call my mom cause she lives down the street form my dojo and i go home she gives me ice and starts *****ign about my dad.

i don;t need to hear that! **** that ****!

i'm worried its broken and i'm not gettin it looked at cause well i can;t really afford it.

if this ends my carear I will KILL everyone i see.

**** Vulgar, be careful with it for the next efw days. Ice it for 20 minutes every 2 hours for the next 72, check the bruising, if any, try to keep some movement in it. Hopefully you have just jammed a ligament which will sort itself out. Can you move your arm in a full range of motion? If so, you should be ok, I doubt anything major would be broken. BUt if this goes on, you should seriously look for a Dr. or at least an X ray

Went to the doc
and that stupid ***** told me to go to the ER and to think the last 2 times i went to the R they sad i should have gone to the doc first.

what an idiot.

a friend of mine sugested it was my rotator cuff.

i hope not.

i hear those are bad injuries and possibly dabilitating.

ok just got back from the ER I have a level 1 shoulder seperation I'm in a sling and I got a scrip (its slang in FL for perscription my spelling aint that bad) for vicodin.

if i do everything right i can be back in a week but i will most likely have to have a follow up with a specialist.

my shoulder feels a lil bit better. more sore than hurt so i decide to you know check my range of motion and give a little flex to my traps and as i flew i notice that my right trap pops right up but my left stays almost completely flat. this scares the **** out of me.


what is it?

i'm very worried.

i woke up at 9am felt wide awake and forced myself to go back to sleep till 10.

when i woke up took ripped fuel and then did 100 jumping jacks and like 50 situps and then took a shower.

I know its not alot but its something i didn;t have any extra time I got classes to go to.

I go to boxing and do good not much pain and i woked out for a good hour and went home.

went to BJJ practice first time since i got hurt and some inexperienced ******* ****ins slams me right on my ****ed up shoulder. we weren't even rolling! just ****in practicing escapes ON THE ****ING FLOOR! and he lifts me so only my shoulders and neck are on the ground and drops all his weight down!
(picture a powerbomb where the guy getting throwns shoulders didn't leave the floor)


and my **** made a ****ed up noise and then i was moving my arm and i can feel the bones in my shoulder jumping over one another!

FOR GODS SAKE! I SHOULD KILL THIS KID **** HIM!

Wow man, that is ****ed up. I'd have to say this is the best journal in here. I really hope all works out for you, because way too many people get sidelined by injuries these days in every sport. The key is to just keep up training what you can and not lose hope of continuing what you were doing. Just think once this gay shoulder thing is over, you'll be a more experienced fighter, next time you're out you'll know exactly how to cope with it.

FINALLY BACK IN THE SADDLE!!!

woke up (however late it was)

150 jumping jacks (3 diff kinds)
50 hard crunches
20 pushups
3 rnds of jump rope

went to boxing
did 3 rnds jumprope
1 rd speed bag
5 rnds heavy bag (100% first 3 rnds as much as possible but i punched myself out after the 1st. I need to get it to 100% for at
least 5 rnds)

walked a mile on the track (would have run but peopel were watching and i'm fat and no one wants to see a fat man jiggle)

worked my kicks for 3 rnds

OK today was yet again productive. I'm just gonna have to figure out how to keep this up once school starts again.

2pm
50 hard crunches
20 pushups
40 twisters (bike situps)
150 jumping jacks

3pm
3rds jump rope
3rds shadow boxing
3rds heavy bag (100% as much as possible)

3:45
1/4 mile jog
1/4 mile walk
total 1/2 mile (would have done whole mile but need to meet up with father at 6 so i had to cut everythign short)

4:00
light weights for shoulder to help strengthen again.

pull up/Dip machine 20 of each (i can't do one on my own yet so i use the machine SHUT UP! STOP LAUGHING!)

is this a good workout?

That 4 hour session is going to be hard to keep going when you have other things to do. I would suggest breaking it up as much as possible. A morning session is always good, a seperate weight session in the afternoon will also be useful and you will find greater strength increases when done as a seperate entity to the rest of your training.

GOD DAMN IT!!!

I set my alarm for 10. I went to bed at 2:30 but couldn't sleep till 3:30. Woke up at 10 so tired i went back to sleep till 11 and did it again shutting off my alarm I finally woke up at like 1.

I ****ed up my schedule already and I ate when i woke up cause i went to sleep hungry. today is already ****ed up.

I'm no expert, but I know that unless I stuff my face, I get exhausted from training and get sick. 6 meals a day for me.

Since beginning of Febuary I've been on somewhat of a diet. During the week its very rigid, 5-6 meals a day, all very healthy, no sauces, excluding light dressings when I need it... Keeping in mind "6 meals" doesn't mean 6 huge meals, its more like 3 average meals and 3 healthy snacks. But on weekends I totally let go and have enough beer, and whatever fast food I can get my hands on. Despite how ****ty the diet is on the weekend, I've lost some weight from my usual winter pattern of eating everything under the sun. Gone from about 210 to 195 or just below 200. That's not bad considering how little exercise I have been doing minus the past week. Whether this works for me just because I'm only 16 and my metabolism burns like furnace, I don't know. But 6 meals a day works ****ign wonders. Also not eating after 8, and minimizing carbs after 4 helps a lot too.

i wish to god i could eat 5 or 6 times a day.

I don't have the hunger cause of the ripped fuel and i don;t got the time between class and work and training.
It wouldn;t be that bad if my stomach was stronger but i got stomach problems that force me to have between 1/2hour and an hour after i eat to be sick.

I am starting to think mabye 3 decent sized meals and 3 protein shakes. but no way i could eat 6 meals.

I get stuffed for hours on what i eat as is.

Tonight i was at BJJ

we get to practicing. sparring from the knees. NO PROB.

They put me with this dude i never seen before so i'm like ok he is new i'm not gonna go all out. i take his side he pushes into me i take his bac kand imediately go into armbar. i get the armbar but i can;t finish it his knee is blocking his hand and we are against the wall. I let the arm go and grab an ankle I notice i got no grip strength in my left hand (my left shoulder is the one thats hurt) i can't ****in jack the ankle! so i try and switch into kneebar he blocks a and gets a neck crank/crossface and due to my position i couldn't get out I tap.

Turns out he has bee ndoin BJJ under Carlson Gracie Jr. Student for about 3 1/2 years and under Edson since august.

should i be happy or pissed about my performace there?

I was super ****ing pissed!

I then go with Andrew a body builder who has been doin Judo god knows how long and BJJ for at least a year and a half.

I'm gassed cause it seems once i get subbed i just gas cause i'm pissed. he toyed me around kept gettin north south position I suck on bottom of N/S. But this guy works with me and puts the pressure on leaving openings to teach me how toget out so its cool buthe talks **** which makes me madder and I gas more.


I then roll with a Purple belt andhe schools me no Questions Asked.

I roll with Andre again and its more even but he is pissed cause i wouldn't go into his guard.


I go with the purple belt again and sneak in a nice ****in kneebar and i had the **** but he got out and tok my back!!! choked me out and thats how we ended the night..


I am SOOOOO PISSED about how i did and i feel like i'm below my par especially if i'm gonna go to train with Edson's trainer in basically full MMA rules training.


keep in mind this is tops my 3rd week of straight BJJ training.

I went to BJJ tonight

was just me, Edson and Kevin

so me a purple and a black belt

we worked no gi

take downs

guard and side moutn

then 5 min nonstop sparring with everyone.

I did pretty good on the take downs

but i was terrible on the floor tonight.

that made me angry.

but it was a laid back night so i wasn;t that agrivated.

Edson told me i am not agressive enough. but it is very good that i look for technique cause most people my size don't

so i just goota up my wind and be agressive non stop.

I trained last night and Edson told me i was to lax. That when i got tired i just didn't try.

I went home and did some crunches and side bends and some shrugs.

I woke up to my sholder really ****in hurtting!

I wnet to practice anyway. and went toe to toe with a brown belt for quite a while, achilies locking him (he got out and mounted me) I escaped his armbar and went to a pass into kneebar to which he twisted out of into heel hook when Edson stopped us saying I can't do foot locks till i'm brown or black belt. (gggrrrrr). I then somehow got his back and put on an armbar of my own to which he ascaped and I then went into triangle and time ran out.


I then got 3 stripes on my belt at the end of class.


i gues i did pretty good.

BJJ tonight was EXCELENT!

I was so pissed that i got my ass kicked moday that i kept yellin at myself in my head to keep pushing keep goin. and i was super stubborn to myself.

I did quite good i do say,

So i started off rolling with Edson. I surprised the **** out of him a couple of imes escaping 3 triangles and an armbar. not to mention improving my position on him a couple times.

next i went with a purple belt who's name i dunno how to spell.
I tapped him with a heel hook he tapped me with achillies.

He complimented me on my explosivness and speed.

then I went with a blue belt. complete stailmate for the whole 5 min. just from position to position to sub attempt to sub escape over and over and over.

Then I went with this other dude. He is lazy and i wanted to rest. I was goin easy on him then he took my back and so I do my best to just not get tapped and to hold on to my energy.he nevertapped me but i was having trouble gettin out.

Then again i went with the blue belt and he tapped me once to RNC.but it was after 41/2 min.

i was complimented by all my opponents. I did quite good today i think. I need to keep this up. REST IS FOR THE WEAK!

Good job man, having had a nasty case of shin splints a year or so back, it feels like a soreness, but more than that. If you keep pushing it after you;ve felt the painf or a while, it almost takes energy out of you, and you feel fatigued. At least that's how I felt. Just do 3 sets of 30 second calf stretches a few times during the day, and ice them after your exercise your shins. It really helps.

You know that huge ****in body builder i always talk about that kicks my ass all the time.

wel we were doin some striking today at BJJ. you knwo starting up Vale Tudo training, anyway on the left is a boxing glove for jabbing the face, the right is a vale tudo glove for body shots, and we can knee and kick standing up.

when you get to the floor open palm strikes to the head or with boxing glove. no knees no elbows etc..

me and the bodybuilder and standing in the 3rd round and i hit him with a solid ****in leg kick (that was baout all my offense 1 ****in kick). and he stops looks at me and goes "Holy **** Bubba that ****ing hurt." i give a smirk and go back to business. I noticed he doesn;t block the leg kick si i go for another he rushes and body locks me, under/over hooks me and rockets a knee up somehow i block it with my elbow, he then THROWS me to the ground and starts hitting me with almost his ful strngth. he is ****ing PISSED. wailing and wailing and wailing.

Edson is yellin at me do not stand still.

like i want to sit there and get hit. you got no idea how strong this son of a ***** is. he can trow me clear across the Dojo without trying. ****ING STRONG!

My this time i must have taken 30 or 40 shots to the face/head.
he takes my back and goes for RNC. i put my head down,he jacks my head back gets his arms in and doesn't goke mebut picks me up off the ground while he is sitting on me just stretching my neck out and ramming my adams apple into my neck.

i tap Edson goes get up finish round. I say **** that. takes me almost 6 min to breath normal again. I WAS WEAZING AND I DON:T EVEN HAVE ASTHMA!

mother ****er gets a little hurt and goes insane! **** if i was that i woudl kill everyone i train with. The dudes that broke my nose, sepereated my shoulder, popped my wrist, seperated the bones in my knee.

Cmon a solid leg kick does not equate attempting to kill someone in training.

I train hard as hell, and as hard as my body will let me.

I admit it i'm an out of shape son of a ***** but i can ****ing go.

I do over 3 hours of working out before i even THINK about goin to BJJ that night. So i get ther and i'm tired but noe one notices cause i grin and bear it and do it all with NO COMPLAINING!

Thats more than i can say for some of the class.

I'm so god damn frustrated. how can he not see my heart.

Never show pain. You can do it man. A lot of what you say reminds me of things that have hapened to me, and the last thing you should do is take these things to heart. Every insult to how hard you train has to be your motivation to do better, or you've already lost. If you let these things get to you, you may have the heart, but you don't have the balls to prove it. Fight through it, and never let your guard down.

they are buying another facility right next to it that is over 2.5 times the size.

I trained with some Top Team heavyweights and stuff. Today was mostly for taking pics of the fighters but i got some training in. nothing to intense.

BJJ Tonight was actually really good and surprisingly we did it with Gi.

we did techniques from butterfly guard 1 sweet 3 variations.
Sweep:
one hook in other foot by your opposite thigh.
arm under the armpit of the same side the hook is in. (are can do on belt or underhook arm)
other amr blocks opponent's arm on that side.

chop arm,lift hook, thrust arm, push off with base foot.

This will bring you to scarfold mount or side mount depending how you play it.

VARIATION 1:
If they base shift yourself reach your arm (that was under there arm) behing there knee and bring that up tward your head

again elevate and shift weight.

VARIATION 2:
same as 1 but go to your knees and then put them on there back

VARIATION 3:
go to knees then stand and go to your ground with a foot sweep/slam

Counter to sweep:
cross your legs in a figure 4. (it keeps opponent on bottom from gettin leverage by seperating your legs.)

When they sit up on you keep there knees at your shoulder. go under there legs left hand hold right pant leg right hand holds left pant leg. whatever arm the gram you with let go with that side's hand. conrtoll on there triceptshift them to there side on the floorput your head in there chest get on your tip toesscoot around there feet escaping guard and getting side mount.

OH I FORGOT!

Last night at BJJ

it was No-Gi

we did some escapes from side mount, and an escape from when your on the bottom of a sprawl.


then we did Vale-Tudo sparring.

I had to go 3 rounds with 3 diff apponents 1 rd each.

1st rd Against Edson, thank god he didn;t actually hit me i'd of been dead
2nd rd against some guy I smoked him
3rd agains Jeff he was much more difficult to deal with.

I WAS TOATLY WHIPED OUT!

must spar more..


I didn't want to hit the guys i was sparring with, so i wouldn;t throw down. think I am the only guy that wants to really train Vale Tudo so i feel bad for hitting them.

my back and neck start t ohurt when i do crunches, especially if i do them fast and i don't know why

Best night so far.

It was Open mat so me and Andy (blue belt) gloved up and went at it. No stand up just GnP and submissions.

He conrtolled my arms really well so he would be able to hit me alot. I got my shots in but he got more.

He got my jaw pretty good it keeps poppin out now. thats bad. how can i get it to stop?

I got some crazy reversals and escapes. its was cool.

Best of all i didn;t get winded once.

Saturday BJJ is great.
we went to Boca Black Belt academy and met up wit hthe rest of American Top Team.

Watched the guys do some full contact sparring (pretty intense)

Rolled with Cardiz from the UG.

Finally beat Andy. TWICE in one day!

Hermes Franca is a cool guy. Din was there he just got some cartilage fixed in his knee.

I got some pointers from some of the guys. a very productive day.

My neck hurts.

smaller class less warm ups just technique and training.

sweep from monkey guard (feel on there bicepts while you hold there sleeve)

Extend one leg completely (which in effect extends there arm taking it out of there use)spin body so the arm that is not holding the sleeve with the extended foot go inbetween there legs with it and keep your head close to there knee.

slightly bend knee then push it out shifting your weight and then sweeping.

you can land this in knee on stomach is you put your knee in beforethe sweep.

(2 points for sweep 2 points for knee on stomach)

Tood wednesday off.

I got a sore as shoulder and hip. They needed the day to rest.

I have eatten junk food a tleast once a day for the last 3 days.

I dunno whats wrong with me its gettin really hard to diet. The sweets just look so ****in good.

Any sugestions as to something to help deter me from sweets?

BJJ tonight no gi

We did a sweet from butterfly guard that transitions into a painful ass neck crank.

you got them in your butterfly, pull there head down go for a gillotine (keeping one of there arms in it) the arm that goes around there neck shifts and goes under there armpit holding tight and grabbing there back, the other arm keeps the trapped arm tight. lift with one of your hooks roll your weight when you get on top/side shift your hip so your knee goes under the arm closest to you. Fight your free hand under there arm, clasp hands shift your base and PRESTO mean ass neck crank.

note: you don't have to do it with both arem you can alwasy just cranked the locked up one.

did sprawling drills annoying but i got through it. 3 3min rounds

then we did takedowns. I took down my teacher (single leg to body lock and trip while holdin the leg still), marcell (got belly to back position stepped out lowered my weight and whipped him), Jeremy (snapdown pushback). I did pretty good for someone who sucked at wrestling.

then we trained

I heel hooked a Rodrigo (purple belt) he crunched up i couldn;t straighten him out but i heard his foot crack so i let go he persisted so i torked itagain it cracked i let go he persisted i put pressure back on time ran out.

I rolled w/ jeremy (1/2 way to blue belt) that squirly ****er got my back! anyway I got him off of me he went to triangle i stepped over he switched to armbar. Yes I tapped

Kevin (purple belt) short man I can't shoot on him, I can;t body lock him, he is to small and stong as ****. He is so smooth on the floor he got be in the same neck crank 2 times in 2 min. then he armbared and i escaped time then ran out.

not a bad night but iwas barely sweating.

I do alot better when i don;t box earlier in the day but then i don't feel like i worked out.

I like your journal, and will start reading it every day. Very nicely done. As far as eating junkfood goes, here's what I do. Don't view food as food, view it as fuel for the machine that you want to turn your body into. Sweets, and fried foods etc., that's like putting sand in your gas tank, you wanna put the fuel into your machine that is gonna make it run the most efficiently, protein, low fat foods etc.. That and some good old fashioned discipline, if you can quit smoking, you can sure as hell quit eating ****ty food.

Woke up this mornin at 8:30am to do a little workout in my room.

UNFORTUNATELY my room was COLD, super cold realy ****in cold.

I stretched out and couldn't get warm. I just gave up. I was bushed anyway.

I will go to boxing this afternoon but i have to cut it short cause family is in town. prolly only do 4 rnds of everything.


I want to start pushing myself on my cardio more. My Cardio is good but it needs to be better. I want to be able to throw down for 20min non-stop.

weight loss LOOKS to be commin along good but the scales don't seem to be moving. mabye i should drop more weight off what i lift and up my cardio more......

back to class (Organized Crime and the Drug business)

Saturday mornin BJJ

I want to express how great it is training with some of the people that are the top notch of this sport. Its absolutely amazing. They are such nice people and willing to help.

I rolled with Wade Rome. This man is strong as ****! and has some good technique too. He smoked me like a blunt.

I rolled with some guy I don't know who he is but he smelled. He kept tellin me how his JKD instructor was the best of the best. He wasn't bad but def annoying.

Then I rolled with this little dude. MAN THIS GUY WAS ****IN QUICK! just burting everywhere. nonstop boom boom bomm boom all over the place. he kicked my ass too.

I talked with Laborio about how you get on the team and all this and he told me I was already on the team. Just not the pro team. He then invited me to come to all there morning training and stuff. I can only got on Tuesday and Thursday unfortunately cause of class. Hopefully soon he will invite me to go train with them at al lthere sessions. The MT, wrestling, BJJ, and full Vale Tudo, but i don;t want to get ahead of myself.

Oh and i took some pics for tanner. not that many but a few I will get more later.

They really like that i have contacts on an MMA websight.

I ate before I trained today.

I know its better to work out n an empty stomach but i think it would have hurt me more to train for 3-4 hours without eatting at all that day than having some oatmeal and a banana before i go.

so yeah I ate oatmeal and a banana. I was gonna have a hard boiled egg but hey need to be boiled longer.

I got back from training and went to lunch. ****in ******* cafeteria people suck. nothing was cooked!

I ate a cold hamburger patty and a salad. They didn;t even have italian dressing so i used a garlic and basil dipping oil instead with some pamasean cheese and was quite pleased

Dinner was a chicken breast 2 bunger patties and the exact same salad as at lunch.

Bob as for the free day, when you constantly do the same thing your body gets in a rut. A rut being a plateau. To get out of that plateau you gott change something. the free day helps you prevent plateauing.

I totally agree with you about taking a free day on Sundays. If you're disciplined with your eating for the rest of the week, a free day on Sundays isn't really going to make much of a difference.

Plyometrics are simple exercises that can be done most anywhere and they are great for increasing quickness and endurance. Jump squats, push up and raise off the floor and clap, box jumps, hurdle jumps. There's a million of them and they are great for increasing speed and quickness. Look into it, they will help increase your speed when you're going for that combo ko or that quick burst for the armbar.

Everytime I got somethign good commin up i hurt myself. luckly i don;t think this one is serious. so tomarrow I was gonan start training with the pro team of ATT.

what happens tonight?!?!?!?! While warming up I trip at least i think i did and i land pretty hard and it feels as though i pulled a muscle in my ASS. WHO PULLS A MUSCLE IN THERE ASS?

either way I was in pain the whole time. I could barely stand up off the goround let alone while in guard forthe guard pass we were doin.

sparring hurt like high holy hell.

Just got back from the harderst 2 hours of boxing in my life.

Howard Davis (Shannon Briggs's trainer) runs the Boxing for ATT.

He is gonan do some stuff with me alone next timei come in cause i'm far behind the rest of the group and he wants to catch me up.

I go to go with Din, Marcus, Aumray, and a couple other guys.
I never thought 3 days off would hurt me so bad my cardio sucked. tie to get back on the ball.

Tonight at BJJ I braught my frat brother that said he was fighting in the UFC. Anyway He was like WOW thisa is brutal!! and i called him a *****. He is much stonger than i thought and he is much fatter than i thought too. I armbarred him twice, guillotined him once and let him think he was gettin an achilies lock on me once (I then kicked him off and took his back). Well I know he can turtle well.

Saturday is the post UFC NAGA in Miami. It was more in reference to that.

I was really considering competing cause for a while now i've been doin really good with people my level and a bit above.

Today i'm re-thinking I rolled wih a blackbelt and got housed now i feel like a failure. Granted I've only been in 2 months and this dude has been in for a minimum of 10 years but i feel like a failure cause iwas tappin every min at least.

20 push ups
100 knees curling things (for your stomach)
50 leg spreaders (spread leags out close and cross over/under rotate legs)
20 push ups
100 swim kicks
100 no weight leg press (lick doing a leg press but with no machine/weight)
20 push ups
100 squats
3 sets of 20 weighted side bends
100 slips (like boxing slipping punches)
50 twists
100 squats from a striking stance (to help with ducking hooks)

I just tapped Edson

I must have caught him by surprise
i was goin for a kneebar like when F Sham got Horn
and he was escaping i grabbed a reverse heel hook
i pulled it, and looked at his leg and saw the strain so i let it go
he goes KEEP GOING so i started pulling again then he tapped.

I was psyched

everyone stopped they were like "he is gonan **** you up"
I was like yup so he choked me out and armbar/triangled me
then goes you stopped tryin you scared you tap me again you get a blue belt so i went after him. i was about to try and finish off an achilies and the round ended.


This si the happiest day of my grappling/fighting carrear

I have been suckin ass in training in the last few days!

my shoulder has been really bothing me lately and my elbow hurts like mad since almost gettin snapped saturday. I think 2 of my toes are broken
