Can Frank Mir climb back to the top of the UFC or will the up-and-comer Brandon Vera continue his rise and fulfill his destiny? The winner of this fight might be given a title shot for the heavyweight crown.

If Frank enters the ring as he did the last time, I doubt it. But if Vera becomes foolish, he'll probably get ju jitsued.

This doesn't make any sense to me.. Frank just got destroyed by a guy they thought would be a walk in the park for him.. Now they give him their best up n comming HW?? I don't know man, I think UFC should give him a FEW warm up matches to build confidence to push him back into fighting condition...
Depending on how successful he is move him up to stiffer competition.

IMO vera will destroy frank.. His standup isn't that good, he's fat, slower than norm with a reach and height disadvantage.. This has vera win all over it.

No Frank's a jiu jitsu guy. IMO Mir was never really that good, I think he got lucky when he beat Sylvia. Notice the armbar wasnt hyperextinding the elbow like it's supposed too, it was lower down the arm causing the bone to break, if the bone hadn't of broke Sylvia would've been out of trouble rather quickly IMO. I'm picking Vera by decision....

I completely agree, he was over-rated as HW champ and got really lucky with the armbar, as you said it wasn't even sunk frank just powered through and bent a bone where their was no joint lol..

there's something about frank mir that reminds me of the kid from down the street who's dad and alcoholic uncle used to beat the living shit out of him every day.

I wouldn't count Mir completely out. Vera should win this, but Mir has a chance.

Vera will KO Mir in this fight....Mir was once a good champion but ever since his accident he isn't the same fighter.
