we all know past pride PPV have always been cheaper priced than any UFC PPV, part of the speculation was that pride couldn't deliver a live show to north american audience so it was assumed they gave us a discount for this reason..

Now, pride has come to vegas, brought champs of the past and champs of new with a list of superstars. Their attendance numbers(live audience) deffinatly dropped probablly by half (idont' think ther's a single venue in vegas that could hold 60,000people like the saitama super arena can) And they still produced a PPV price $10 cheaper than the UFC on thier own turf with better fighters that get paid higher amounts.. (i'm sure not a single fighter on 'realdeal' was getting paid $3G to show and $3G to win..)

I paid 39.95 as well. I think this simply is to retain Pride's image as an elite organization. If the UFC increases their prices they make Pride look inferior by the lesser cost. So Pride has to increase their price to compete.

I prefer Pride to the UFC, if both held a PPV on the same night, I'd be watching pride. I don't care what event it is, I'm just a fan of MMA. I've never paid over $39.95 for a UFC event, and last weeks Pride event was the same price....

I've now been to both a live UFC and PrideFC show (not a real Pride, but the US version), and I must say that Pride is LEAPS AND BOUNDS. The amount of ignorant idiot hicks in the crowd goes way down once you go to a Pride show as well, FYI.
