Norton struggled with big punchers. number6 10-22-2006, 05:46 PM Klitschko gets my vote,by ko. Dempsey 1919 10-23-2006, 11:02 AM Norton by ud. Yogi 10-23-2006, 11:35 AM Definatly Wlad. Norton struggled with big punchers. Difference being those big punchers that Norton struggled with were predomintaly front foot fighters, who stalked & pressured (possibly intimidated?) Norton into fighting off the back foot, which very clearly diminished his overall effectiveness as a fighter... Wlad is much more of a back foot fighter, though, which would allow Norton to be the fight's aggressor for the most part, and to fight in his most effective way of coming forward behind the jab. M26 10-23-2006, 01:52 PM Considering Wladimir Klitschkos tremendous power, it is easy to envision him slapping Ken Norton around the ring for a few rounds, before brutally stopping him. After all, Norton was not at his best against those huge hitters. On the other hand, one has to consider Klitschkos primary weapon; his left jab. Both fast and accurate, it has helped the giant Ukrainian out many times. Against Norton, I am not so sure it would work all that well. Norton had a way of eliminating Muhammad Alis left jab in their fights, and I believe he could do the same against Klitschko. Furter, as Yogi points out, Klitschko is a "back foot fighter", something that would make it a whole lot easier for Norton to take control of the pace. Ken Norton was both skilled and tough in his prime. He also packed some serious power in those gloves, and possessed alot of heart. I believe he would be able to neutralize Klitschkos left jab and slowly take the bigger foe apart. Considering Klitschkos less than superb chin, I can even see Norton winning by stoppage. Ken Norton by tko10. Good post. I can't really see Norton stopping someone of Klits size but a good post nonetheless redxl7 10-23-2006, 05:49 PM Wow this is a good one, I really don't know what to say, but I think I've been convinced by M26's analysis that Norton could take it. brownpimp88 12-31-2006, 10:11 PM The battle of the glass chins. Brockton Lip 12-31-2006, 11:12 PM I really don't think Norton's chin is as bad as people say. Its more mental with him. Powerful punchers got into his head but his chin holds up better than most think. ceboxer15 12-31-2006, 11:48 PM Considering Wladimir Klitschkos tremendous power, it is easy to envision him slapping Ken Norton around the ring for a few rounds, before brutally stopping him.
