Sadly, Larry Homes exposed all of Earnie Shavers flaws. If a man doesn't learn his trade in the gym, he will sooner or later get an embarrassing boxing lesson in the ring.

I think this fight shows what happens when a good contender comes up against a true champion.Great battle,love the Holmes jab and can't believe he managed to recover from the knock down.

They have the first Holmes/Shavers fight up on that site, as well, which is very possibly Holmes' career best performance.

shavers showed that if he couldnt finish you with the right you prolly were gonna win

holmes showed that if you hit him with a metal baseball bat although it may stun him you gotta finish him
