Toney is by no means a concussive puncher at heavyweight, but I do think he punches solidly and sharp and accurate. There were the welts on Ruiz's body and the damage done to Samuel Peter's face, with proved those punches were not powderpuff punches. Take Evander Holyfield for example, I believe a few of his opponents have said they felt sore for weeks after fighting him and Evander was also never a concussive puncher, more power than Toney, but the point remains the same.
