Big-g 12-11-2002, 06:31 PM its not from Judo, they call it the crab or some ****..a judo teacher told me its from bjj. KimuraMan 12-11-2002, 10:53 PM The guard is from Koryu Jujutsu which is a primative form of Kosen Judo, which later evolved into Kodokan Judo. BJJ stemmed off of The Kosen Judo style when Mitsuyo Maeda adapted catch wrestling to Kosen Judo, then settled in brazil where he taught Gracie. I am a sandan in Judo, there is a guard, and from the guard just like in BJJ we use elevators, and alot of arm and choke submissions. No leg locks though, thats a huge difference. |
