I'm surprised I didn't see this question pop up yet. Who wins this fantasy matchup? Prime Marciano or Valuev?

Valuev wins IMO, too much size difference, its like a Heavyweight fighting a lightweight...

Valuev would have a hard time punching that low. Marciano's unrelenting style would wear down Valuev eventually.

Although the size difference is like Prince Naseem fighting Joe frazier!!

I'm stepping on this thread with my e-foot right now because of how much I hate it....

Marciano could really take a shot from slow thudding punchers. He was vulnerable to quick snappy punchers like Walcott and Moore. I think he would stay low, under Valuev's shots, as someone said, and dig hard to the body. He would hit Valuev harder and with more consistently than anyone he faced, because no one was that stationary and as big a target. He would demolish the body and the head would follow. Valuev seems pretty sturdy but Marciano hit at slightly over 1000 PSI regardless of his weight, and he could hit hard with every shot round after round.

Marciano by KO in the 10th round.

Joe Frazier, Tyson, and Dempsey would do the same, though it would be quicker in Tyson and Dempsey's cases.

Marciano in 10.

I agree...Valuev's jab will keep him away for alitle while but once Marciano's inside for a few rounds :boxing: OUT

It's hard to see Valuev hurting Marciano. Marciano's low crouch would be extremely hard for Valuev to tag. Nicolay's weight could play a huge factor in the clinches though but I think Marciano's stamina and style would win most likely by decision or a late round TKO.

Valuev has a pretty good chin by what I've seen so he's not going to be easily KO'd.

Marciano in 10.

holy crap!! you picked marciano over someone!!!

i agree but i think marciano would be pounding valuevs body all through the match, he used to punch a 270lb punching bag it cant be that different!

maricanos crouching tactics should work we4ll to get valuev in close and valuev wouldn't be able to back up quick enough to get away

You people have no common sense, you're a bunch of hardcore fanatic fans, I just realized how many people in here have no logic at all...

We don't use logic because we favor an undefeated heavyweight champion against a slow moving target who's biggest test yet to date has been John Ruiz, and he didn't even win that fight convincingly?

i think i would rather see dempsey fight the caveman, rocco would wear him down slowly, dempsey would knock him down many, many times

Yeah, Marciano and Frazier would wear him down, Dempsey would floor him repeatedly, and Tyson would knock him out with one punch!

marciano by close decision - valuev is improving fight by fight. against ruiz he was bad i hear you say, i watched him fight Darren Fearn (his 6th fight) and he was TERRIBLE, lol, lumbering, ungainly, ugly style.

against Beck he was much improved and he was more confident against barrett. its as if after ruiz someone sat him down and explained that if he learnt to properly box, that combined with his size would make him unbeatable.

its not that valuev is great, but he is solid, thorough, never lazy, and has terrific physical advantages. if he keeps improving at his current rate he will reach marcianos record.

you can only beat the man in front of you, thats all any of them have ever done, name me one champ that never fought an easy fight.

peace out
