Hello Fans,
I want to say thank you to the city of San Francisco for another great season! The Bay Area is my home and there are no better fans anywhere. From my first game with the Giants in 1993 to my last game on Sunday, I have shared many memories with the fans throughout my career. As for my fans across the country, I'd like to thank you for your support as well. I also want to thank all my licensees who helped produce the 715 line of products and the various items that are on my site.

Although our team didn't make it to the postseason, I want my teammates to know this was the best group of guys I have ever played with. There were a lot of things going on around me this season and my teammates came together and stood behind me. I will never forget that. I had a lot of fun this year -- from Spring Training to our last game of the season - - and the clubhouse environment had so much to do with it.

On Monday, I had an operation on my elbow to clean up the bone chips which were causing irritation and swelling throughout the year. As soon as I heal in the next few weeks, I will begin my offseason training. Keep checking my site for updates regarding my recovery and plans for the future.

This winter I look forward to hanging out with my family and enjoying time at home. During these next few months, I will reconnect with my business associates and spend time playing golf with my friends.

Until next time ...

He can say thank you and win the Nobel Peace Prize, but he will still have people hating him for reasons that aren't entirely related to baseball.
