Sup everyone from BoxingScene? I'm new to this forums, and definitely new to boxing. So I would like to know some stuff that's been on my mind lately..

I am a short dude. Some of the people I wanted to spar with just told me off and said I was too 'small' and that I would'nt be of a challenge.. Is it true that height really matters in boxing?

I'm also new to this nutrition thing. Didn't care what shit I ate till' now. On the way to losing weight. Been hittin the gym regularly and stuff. But i wanna know how can I lose those baggage around the stomach and legs ( jumprope? roadwork? ), and what diet I should be on to gain some muscle around the arms.

I hope I can fit in well in this community. Cheers for the help. :)

^ Yeah they did say that so right now I'm sparring with kids 2-3 years below me who have no clue what they're doing.

And down here, we only have one boxing gym in the whole damn country ( at least the only one i know of ) and nobody really does boxing. So sparring is really a problem cos down here we do it anywhere (school, at home) and practically it turns street.

Height ain't nothing.. All it takes is one punch for anyone. Just like Versatile said.. "Put your mind to it"

Another thing to add.

I got athsma, and it comes with this skin allergy. I can't seem to sweat alot or my whole body goes into a fit and itches like crazy. Any suggestions to make this condition go away? The doctors told me they'll disappear with age but I guess maybe there's some vitamins or medication to at least not make the allergies so bad?

Whats the name of ur skin allergy?

When u exercise ur body goes into a fit? Can u explain what u mean by fit.

When ur skin itches did the doc say this was connected to ur allergys or is this a seperate condition.? If so whats the name of the condition?

Are u allergic to anything? Foods, medication, soya, gluten?

Are u currently taking any medication at the mommnet, if so what is it called?

yeah height doesnt matter too much. There was a lightweight title fight a while back on the Rahman/Maskaev card where the taller, skinnier fighter was just humiliating the shorter stronger fighter, and the short guy got a 1 punch ko in the last round for the win. he hadnt won any previous rounds before that.

Rofl it doesnt REALLY go into a fit..it just itches like hell and swells up bad cos the skin get cut when i scratch it hard...

Not allergic to anything to my knowledge, and I think the condition is called eczema or somethin..

The skin goes all dry a few minutes after all the sweat has dried up and then it itches.

In mst cases eczema could be resloved by a chasnge in diet.Cows milk is a major culprit. Other highly likely foods are eggs, tomatoes, food preservatives and colorings. Get a food allergy test that measures both Ige and IgG anitbodies.

In the mean timeu could supplimet:

High potencey multi vit and mineral(recomment higher nature advanced optimum nutrtion formula)

Vit C 1000MG three times a day

Vit E 200-400 iternational units daily

Flaxseed oil. 1 tablespoon

Quercetin and bromelain 200to 400 mg of each 5 mins before food

Zinc 30-45 milligrams

Anitoxidant complex

Also use chamomile and licorice extracts such as camocare and simicort applied to the affected skin area 3-3 times a day.

If you are still young, say 12, 13, still growing, you can "beat" your gentics by increasing your nutrition value: if you eat well, high protein, high calorie, high calcium, etc. diet, while right before or in growth, you can add a few inches to your height and even your frame...Nutrition is key during puberty...off course, you have to exercise, you don't want to just eat, you want to increase muscle mass/bone mass

Thanks, I`ll try that out ;)

And I'm 16, and way below the average height of a 16 year old haha.
