if your talking about just the wu as a group then id disagree, personally i think the roots are the greatest rap group. But if your talking about the solo projects theyve done as well then id say yeah

If your talking about overall talent within each member of the group (including the expansion of knowledge in their rhymes).. you can't even compare to the Clan:

NWA:
N.W.A and the Posse 3 stars
Straight Outta Compton 5 stars
*****z4life 3 1/2 stars
(no longer together, although Cube, Dre, Eazy, D.O.C. have all become stars in their own right, this was nothing more than a 'movement' in hip-hop culture, while an important one)

Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony:
E 1999 Eternal 4 1/2 stars
The Art of War 2 1/2 stars
BTNHResurrection 2 stars
Thug World Order 2 1/2 stars
(while they were consistent, did 'quality' maintain?)

Wu-Tang Clan:
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) 5 stars
Wu-Tang Forever 4 stars
The W 4 1/2 stars
Iron Flag 4 stars
Disciples of the 36 Chambers: Chapter 1 [live] 2 1/2 stars
(Wu-Tang almost always keeps quality and consistency)

the ratings of albums taken from allmusic.com

i think i'll try to take this comparison deeper later with group member solo albums, but i think i've made my point already
