Well I 'just' started, so I can only try. But I think you need to get back to basics again. If your base is not strong, how are you going to do this thing any better?

Thats really not a good idea to do, get rid of that habit as soon as possible. If youre fighting with a boxer with any experience you're screwed if he slips your punch and hits you with force. Youll fall on your ass and lose major points. See how often professional boxers square up, ill bet you they never do.
