a quick summary about this thread. Make sure u get enuff fish, lean meat, veges &fruit, legumes , grains in ur diet, plus a splash of herbs, nuts and dairy to go with it.
All up, ypu have a diet that has nutrients from all food groups.
However, a majority of us, do miss out on food groups, which is just normal.

To compensate for this, my friend(ex-chef) cooks mass-stews/meals in a huge pot
full of pasta, rice, nuts, herbs, corns, carrot, beans... heaps of stuff.
After a hard session and a meal made by him. for the next few days i feel unreal, because of the nutrients packed in his meals.

yeah honey has good stuff for you in the way of helping maintain blood glucose concentrations and such toward the end of exercising. It also helps in restoring glycogen levels and protein synthesis post workout.
