I don't see any of them being future world champions.
GEOFFHAYES 10-02-2006, 11:20 AM Khan is the best bet for a world title, I don't think Mitchell will get past European level.
Froch has the punch to take out anybody at 168.
John O'Donnell is a darkhorse.
zamora25 10-02-2006, 12:13 PM kahn is overated. the future is with anthony small the guy is good. also david haye is quality
PATO 1 10-02-2006, 01:19 PM froch is nothin, he would get ktfo by lacy, outclassed by kessler, andrade
never seen o donnell
Southpaw Stinger 10-02-2006, 02:47 PM Pretty much agree with you there.
hemichromis 10-02-2006, 02:55 PM kahn is overated. the future is with anthony small the guy is good. also david haye is quality
khan is inexperienced but he has a rare mix of speed and power if his trainwer is anyg good he will make him a champ
i'm not gonna pass judgment on the rest
except that harrison williams and skelton will never be, williams had some good moments early on in his career but now he spends more time eating cream cakes than training
zamora25 10-02-2006, 04:11 PM its just i hate it when people build up sports people and are talking about being world titilists when they havent done anything. i think frank warren protects his fighters too much. i would like to see kahn do well, its just i dont think he will. i feel that british boxing would be alot better if some of them took more risks. like the macklin vs. moore fight is the example of what we should be doing. its not just british boxing - i feel that boxers dont take risky fights - there are some exceptions.

your right only one boxer hes faced has actually hit him with a meaningful punch but just because hes hyped up doesn;t mean hes crap!

Yes. 10 letters
Shanus 10-03-2006, 04:15 AM Khan won't be champ, not in todays 140 and 147 division.
Toddy 10-03-2006, 09:16 AM Moore said he is retirin at 30 and hes a bit iffy at the moment IMO i can see him reachin european level but not beyond
RonRoss 10-03-2006, 09:22 AM i think khans the biggest prespect out of that list,he needs a good trainer 2 bring it out in him,hes still abit amateurish but he aint been in the pros long, hes very very very fast ill give him that
zamora25 10-04-2006, 12:49 AM but thats what im saying, at the moment theres no reason to hype kahn up as much as he has been. there are young fighters who have more fights and are good prospects like small, murray, mitchell etc but the british public(unless your an enthusiast) and media dont take notice of. i hate say it and im sure kahn will hear it alot is that hes always going to have the media spotlight on him because people want to compare to naz (and lets be honest its because there both of asian background that they are compared) and i think that could be why he might not do that well on world level because theres too much pressure on him. the fact is we do it with all our sports stars and it can end up ****ing them up - its the same as wayne rooney - i think hell do a gazza and end up on drink or drugs
platinummatt! 10-04-2006, 06:12 PM I saw khan fight, he ran in hit this guy a few times and they stopped the fight.
platinummatt! 10-04-2006, 06:12 PM Hes got it there but he isnt doing it
P4P Opinion 08-03-2008, 08:09 PM Sorry to drag this up, but I randomly saw a link for this thread underneath another and I just had to when I read the opening post!
Funny that one of the fighters on the 'won't' list is already a world champion (Arthur) and two more are number 1 contenders for world titles (Khan and Froch). Not one of the fighters on the 'will' list have got anywhere near a title or look like they might!
Solomon Mbae 08-04-2008, 10:25 AM Froch would get beat up by any top SMW
msagrain 08-04-2008, 10:42 AM I thought this was a new thread at first.
