"ode to cagefighters"
All eyes are on them
as they enter the cage
music is blaring,
introductions are made.
With that first look
in each others eyes,
the adrenelin is rushing,
the excitement most high.
Groundplay over stand up,
choke holds or submission,
Anything can happen
as each do their mission.
Just some five minute rounds,
and each with strong pride.
Will endurance be enough,
when it goes to the ground?
In the guard, ankle lock,
guillotine and butterfly too,
important to know,
much better put to use.
Each with their favorites,
the crowd starts to scream.
Devoted and faithful
their fighter full of steam.
Dedication, Determination,
Big Hearts and Pride.
Pure love for the sport
is nothing to hide.
Not safe some might say?
Well how could they know,
that the Honor
among fighters,
cannot be taken away...
