Just heard of saku's current condition and it isn't looking good for the people's champ.. He's suffering from post cuncussion symptoms and this may infact end his career.. This is a very unfortunat event..

Pride las vegas conversation..

Fedor vs mark coleman: some say mismatch but if anybody is gonna stop fedor it could be mark coleman.. Now that you've stopped laughing, coleman has the power to stop fedor, unfortunatly his gas tank runs low quickly he's gonna have to rely on a good sprawl, stand-up and remember he's ommin oof that huge win..

Randlman vs shogun: If anybody can beat shogun it will beat randleman.. Just when everybody thought ninja was unstoppable Randleman smoked him with a left hook to end the fight by cut.
Shogun is an aggressor however he has been rocked many times showing quick recovery.. Hope to see randleman stand and fight rather than clinch and body lock his left hook will lead him to victory.

Belfort vs henderson: aLot of people don't give belfort any credit but if i was hendo i would be training my but off.. This is by no means an easy match for hendo in fact i would say this favors vitor.. After all styles make fights. Cant wait for htis one..

Mark hunt vs butterbean: This could go one of 2 ways.. Hunt caould try to stand and box with butterbean or he could put him on his back and submit with kimura.. hopefully he entertains the crowd for a bit before the submission.

what do you guys think?

saku needs to quit. that beating he took last time out was eerily reminiscent of ali/berbick and ali/holmes

Livedoor sports reported that Kazushi Sakurabu, who was hospitalized during training for his upcoming October K1 event, emphasized during a K1 press conference that he did not sustain brain damage, but suffered from a neck injury sustained during years of wrestling. Sakuraba said that he will not be able to train until he is medically cleared, therefore he will not be fighting in any K1 event for at least one month. The doctor's expect Sakuraba to make a natural recovery, and there might not be any need for him to make any more hospital visits during recovery time. There was some indication that if Sakuraba's health improved, he would participate in K1's New Year event against a yet to be announced opponent. No word yet who will replace Sakuraba for K1's October 9th event at Yokohoma arena. source mma365.com

According to my report, he should heal fine and come back to fight for the New Year event for K1.

Deffinatly wouldn't bet the house on it.. A few things that need to be considered: his age, the beating he took at the hands of arona and the beatings he's taken in the past..
From what i understand, he was training and had a dizzy spell then collapsed.. Deffinatly not a good sign..

This kind of reminds me of guy mezger and the way he retired.. I know a bleed in the brain is different however the way it was down played in the news brings the similarities together. As well the symptoms seem to be the same.

Hasn't Sakuraba made millions in advertising and fights? What else does he have to prove, he is already a hall of famer.

I think most of these guys fight because they like it; it is the only thing that brings value and purpose to their lives. Yeah he could probably become a trainer but nothing can compare to the thrill of battle. But there comes a time when you gotta look at yourself in the mirror and say "I think I better stay home".
