The 90's were a great decade for hip-hop music. Which year had the best releases, in your opinion? A lot of people consider '94 to be one of the greatest years in rap history, but 1995 is one of the most overlooked years. I would say 1994. I don't think you have all the top albums and you have a few that weren't really all that big back then.

Eminem's Infinite didn't make a blip on the scene; 2Pac's Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z did though, for example

Low end theory came out in 1991 and yes, the diary came out 1994. I'll update the list as I hear about more albums.

This is kind of a pointless thread considering that all 90's music sucked ass.

lol.

I voted for '96. That year had a different vibe to it than any other year that I can remember. It was during the west east beef and everyone was comming out with some really hip hop ****. I'd say rap was at it's most advanced form that year when you consider what Nas was spitting on It was written, what Eminem dropped on Infinite, and **** like Paparazzi and Endtroducing.

1994...best album of all-time.

And you're missing The Chronic if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, why don't more people have as high of an opinion of '95 as they do '94? A lot of people give credit to the albums in that year, but the year as a whole is overlooked. I even saw one guy a while ago saying that it was one of the worst years in rap history.

I was at one point, and I'm really glad I snapped out of it. It's not just rap, rock also. 90's music makes me wana blow my brains out. :)
