I wouldn't want to be either of those guys that's for damn sure.

I'm very happy with just being Yogi, but if forced to pick one fighter who I think had an exceptional life, it just might be Jimmy McLarnin.

Well my boxing idol is Muhammad Ali, so I would choose him. He has had an amazing life, experiencing nearly everything and dealing with it all so impeccably.

So Ali.

You have to live this fighers life? experience their hardships. Being Ali must of been nice and all but he went through alot of shit.... being villified by the press, having his title and his livelyhood stripped from him, taking a ridiculous amount of punishment in the ring and then paying a big price later in life, being one of the most famous men that ever existed with many obligations as a result... all things considered i would still be Ali too :)

I'd be Big George so I could still be winning in my old age and then move onto a nice grilling career.

Well, as Yogi said, I pretty much like being me...I wouldn't want to be either one of those two for two different reasons:

1. I would probably mess up the history that Ali carved out

2. I'm not sure I could handle all of the stuff that Tyson had to deal with, both inside and out.

...remember, if you "are" any of these men, then you have lived their life and experienced what they experienced, which means you would either...

a. Lose all sense of yourself.

or

b. Ruin their legacy or get lost in it.

Just a thought.

So, I'd pick Gene Tunney, if I had to pick one...and continue defending the title after Heeney. :D

I think its more about the 'fighter' than the person. I would sure as hell want to be Tyson, Gerald Mcclellan, Ike Ibeabuchi etc. But these guys went trough a lot of stuff in their lives. Im not interested in that lol. So i'll just pick in pure fighting ability.

Since its more my nature to be a lower weight class fighter, i would pick gerald Mcclellan. Dude had unreal strenght and punching power.

Just for fantasy i would Pick Mike Tyson.

I would be Arturo Gatti. He has pulled some A+ quality ass in his time. That would be the main reason. I wouldn't mind to have been Chavez since he was such a hero in Mexico.

Archie Moore with his bag of tricks.

Frank Bruno - I think I would've done more than he did with those natural abilities.

Tex Cobb - add a lil bit of skill to that chin and you coulda had something special.

Sonny Liston - this should require no explanation.

If I could be a fighter it would be:

1)Ray Robinson - The greatest P4P fighter ever, enuff said!

2)Rocky Marciano - I love his style, I wish I had the tools to fight like that, but I can't.

3)Roy Jones Jr. - I wish I could toy with fighters, fight with my hands behind my back, throw triple left hooks, etc and get away with it.

4)Charley Burley - I wouldn't have stayed quuiet like he did, I would have called Ray Robinson, Conn, Lamotta, etc out, trashed them in the newspaper, etc or anything else I could to secure a fight against them. Burley could have had himself ranked so much higher had he been able to secure fights against the top guys.

5)Willie Pep, I love to watch defensive wizards at work, he was like poetry in motion, I love watching he and Pernell Whitaker fight, because those guys just make defense so entertaining.

Max Baer easily. So much potential and the biggest pussy magnet in the heavyweight division ever. Loved life till the very end.

Without any doubt, I'd be Baer.

Ali had a few hot babes in his time and definitely was neck and neck with Baer in terms of quality, but in quantity Baer wins in a landslide. The guy pretty much banged everyone with a pretty face in Hollywood.

When Ali was fighting Joe Bugner, he had hookers in every room in a hotel waiting for him. He would then go from room to room and enjoy himself.

I'd say Tyson and show all the haters that he could have been
truly great with the right head. I've been through just a fubar life and a helluv a lot more stable minded.

I would be Rocky Marciano, not because he's my idol or anything like that but because he was a great fighter, who was very modest, and retired without suffering any type of brain damage..I mean Ali's cool and Tyson's great but Ali has Parkinson's (whether its boxing's fault or not) and Tyson's life just sucks compared to what it should/could've been.
