All the reports from Sherdog and MMA weekley have stated it was the UFC and Dana White who backed out. He wanted to pay silva tuf money and silva wouldnt take a paycut . Dana let me ask you this WHY THE **** DID YOU ANNOUNCE IT IF YOU HAD NO PLANS ON PAYING HIM WHAT HES WORTH AND WHY THE **** WOULD PRIDE PAY THE DIFFERENCE FOR YOUR EVENT ******* ! Just walking around back home this summer (Cincy Ohio), i saw so many people with UFC or Xyience shirts, most of them way out of shape and clearly not fighters. I believe the same people who watch every reality TV show religously also are way into the UFC. Of course White has the champs in his pocket, I mean they are the champs after all, and Dana is the figure head of UFC, so saying he has "all UFC champs in his pocket" goes without saying.

Why would there be 2 UFC cards in different places at the same time? Does Pride do this? Does K-1 do this? When a fight card happens, the promoters usually go to great pains to make sure that particular day and weekend is free of other events, movies, etc etc because that is competition.

I totally understand why Dana is retarded on announcing Chuck vs Silva. Why the hell should Silva take a paycut? White should've known this....****ing retarded.

However, I understand why he would want Pride to pay a portion of Silva's purse. Silva (who I think would destroy Chuck)would bring a lot of media attention to Pride. Think of that huge MMA market that White developed instantly being exposed to a Pride fighter whom 80% of them probably have never heard of.

Silva beating Chuck then going back to pride would probably increase Pride US PPV sales by 150k. They wanna see the guy who murdered Chuck....etc etc.

In short having Silva in UFC would be similar to advertising for Pride and that would be worth it for Pride but White is retarded for not finalizing everything before announcing it.
