Ive recently got autographs by each one of these guys and sitting right next to each other man bj is way bigger! 1: So by your "guru" method of deciding, anyone who is bigger has an advantage in a fight? in what way? Alot of BJ Penn's "size" is bulk and not muscle, IMO hes not in the best shape that he could be in.

2. I wouldnt say he has the perfect style. He has better jiu-jitsu, and possibly standup but hughes has better wrestling (aka takedown defense).

3. Lets just compare last 4 fights, where you can see Hughes has taken on harder opponents and done better.
Hughes: Royce Gracie (W-TKO), Joe Riggs(W-Sub), Frank Trigg(W-Sub), George St. Pierre(W-Sub)
Penn: Geroges St Pierre (L-SD), Renzo Gracie (W-UD), Ryoto Machida (L-UD), Rodrigo Gracie (W-UD)

Also living in hawaii, i get alot of news on the MMA scene hear. The island i live on Oahu has the best MMA gyms in the state (the island has about 900,000 people, Honolulu is a huge city.) Anyways Penn has not been training with the best guys even in the state and has stayed on the Big Island for the most part. Hes not even regarded as the best fighter on the islands at this point as that honor goes to Jason "Mayhem" Miller (the guy who probably put up the best fight against GSP, besides Hughes and Penn, and is currently undefeated in hawaii.) Matt Hughes has one of the toughest training camps in the world and has a diversity of opponents. Even though you are a self proclaimed "MMA guru" I believe Penn got lucky the first time and its all over for him.

i dont think mayhem is better than penn by a longshot. but i think mayhem is bigger in the hawaii scene these days which is probably true. At icon last night he got louder cheers then Niko, or Egan ever got. And they even booed Lawler. Ofcourse Penn is a better fighter, but Mayhem is bigger on the islands in my opinion. anyways bro, no beef, just having a friendly MMA discussion.

I picked Matt to win, but i don't think its gonna be easy. I picked him only because i just want to see the rematch with George St-Pierre. GSP already beated Penn. (but some people thought differently)

I agree. When Hughes won his title, he was chocked out and didn't even know he had won. When BJ beat him he didn't know what happened there either.
