If Joppy were to come back and DLH looking to do something @ 160. What would you all say /think that will be the outcome of this fight? I was looking @ joppy vs trinidad on video on demand and even if joppy did get KO by tito, he was landing some good shots. Now Dlh punching power is not nowhere near the level of trinidad's ,so we all know he may not be able to ko Joppy, however could he outbox the bigger man or could this be a 12 round war,Hopkins went 12 rounds with Joppy. JUst give your opinions :)

Tough one to call if Joppy is in top shape. I would expect a decision,no KO here. I would say it's a pick 'em but I think Joppy could take DLH at middleweight.

Joppy KO 10

Oscar would take care of Joppy. I got a fever, and the only prescription is......more cowbell.

What makes you think he would "take care" of Joppy? Oscar would get tired in the later rounds, This is at 160, Not welter.. He would get KO'd, But bad. He doesn't have the power at MW to keep Joppy away from him anyways. Unless he does another "Save the children" Marathon like did against TITO.

No doubt, He'd probably bag some rounds though, But you have to be realistic. ;)

what about Oscar's Power, could he do the same thing trinidad did? KO or tko. Even if vargas had a *Weak* chin (WEAK to above normal boxers)Oscar was able to put him down and wabble him

Well, I personally don't think he has as much power at MW as he did at Welter. Infact IMO, He was never that powerful to begin with. I definitely DON'T think he could do the same thing Trinidad did at MW to Joppy, Simply because Tito carried his power up to MW alot better then DLH did. He'd have a boxers chance, But he fades in later rounds and Joppy (Whos a decent puncher) would be able to take advantage of that. We all know what happened when DLH took 1 hard shot from HOP.

Just my opinion though.

dlh beats joppy hands down cause joppy is SHOT .
and guys , the DLH who faced hopkins even if he lost , was a top 10 MW , let s face it.

even in his prime , dlh would have been to skilled for joppy , but i doubt DLH could have KOed him.

right now DLH plays with joppy

Oscar by decision. Joppy hasn't been right since the Tito fight and the Hopkins fight didn't help him either.

Oscar's power at 160 hasn’t yet been proven to the world, 2 fights @ 160 1st vs. an undefeated Champ (Sturm) and a guy who hasn't lost a fight in over ten years (Hopkins), both fighters have never been down as middleweights. So is Oscar’s power really gone or does it seem this way being that he only fights the best?

completely off subject, but since you got the rabbit (frank?), when is the director's cut of Donnie Darko coming out?

DLH already admitted he lost this fight :D I mean he already declared that he can't perform at this weight class so he is going back to welter.

If he goes back down to welter, two guys I would like to see him fight are Citron and Margarito!

Citron would be a great fight, i think Oscar can haddle Margarito. He should avoid spinks though. Cory is an exceptional talent, he is a southpaw, as a good chin, is young and very quick. De La Hoya i think would be outpointed.

Oscar does well at middleweight, even against hopkins if he really wanted it.

He beats joppy and Allen easily, they are shot fighters.

I know that's true but coming from the guy himself how can we dispute that? :D As he declared he was having problem going up to that weight . . . I guess his body frame is not really for that weight class.

Joppy would probably take out a UD. I cant see either of them Knocking the other out, or down for that matter.

This could be an exciting fight. Joppy would be going forward and DLH would be the mover but would trade regularly too. Both guys need to get a decisive win against a credible opponent and this would do it. But first, let's see how Joppy fares against Taylor.
