But if big brother holds on to his, and King to the other 3, it may be a handful of months before he gets a shot - and regardless of your interpretation of the Williamson fight, it wasn't one to send him up the rankings and create some urgency for a title fight. Wlad'll get another shot - but he may have to "pay some dues" in 2005 and get a winning streak together.

Well regardless of how the Williamson fight went, Wlad was the #2 WBO contender, and that cut is going to take more than 2 months to heal. He won't be back until February at the earliest.

I'm guessing you're joking but I guess Akinwande could have a shot but probably not in 2005 - there's too many ahead of him in the rankings and some "bigger" names will leapfrog over him in no time. Tua probably eclipses him just by saying he's going to fight again.

I think Ricky gets a shot at Harris or Tszyu/Mitchell or Cotto this year. He's been linked to all 3; surely one of the fights will actually happen.

Very true, plus Holyfield said he isn't leaving by his own choice untill he gets another shot at belt. It would be nice to see Holyfield fight Ruiz, I have a good feeling the fight wouldn't last too long. ;)

in all honesty guys no belt nowadays is a major belt........due to all the double standards practiced by all "credible" organisations.........how many "interim" title holders are there out there who have been promised shots at the champs...only to wait several fights.....i.e Danny Green? Many of the fighters on the list are worthy of being true champions however the politics and money in the organisations prevents them from becoming tru champions...
