borikua 10-07-2004, 06:41 PM October 07, 2004 - **********.com has been informed that undefeated middleweight up and comer Jermain Taylor will take on William Joppy on December 4. No contracts have been signed yet, but we understand promoters Lou DiBella and Don King have already agreed to terms. We will continue to keep you updated, but until then Remember Where You Heard It First! (3:50 PM ET)
after an army of washed up blown ups welters , a shot middleweight to prove how great taylor is ...
is franck warren promoting him , as he looks to have the same carrer plan than ricky hatton.
Sir_Jose 10-07-2004, 06:43 PM Good fight for Taylor. I think he stops Joppy late.
Only one guy can hang with Taylor at 160 and thats Hopkins.
borikua 10-07-2004, 06:46 PM Good fight for Taylor. I think he stops Joppy late.
Only one guy can hang with Taylor at 160 and thats Hopkins. What about Tito?
NiGe2011 10-07-2004, 06:50 PM The Joppy fight is a joke, this guy was retired a couple months ago! I had a glimmer of hope for Taylor when I heard Sturm and Eastman's names casually being tossed around- but I guess his people are taking the safe road once again. Bottom line: Is Joppy a step up in competition for Jermain? Yes. Is a Taylor victory going to prove to us that Jermain should be mentioned as one of the top three or four guys at middleweight? Definitally not!
techn9ne 10-07-2004, 06:51 PM tito should move up to light heavy and reign
by the way how sick would it be to have a painting of your avatar but like 10 feet high in your living room
now that would be siiiick!
Sir_Jose 10-07-2004, 06:52 PM What about Tito?
Bad style matchup for Tito.
what about keith holmes ? what about sturm ? what about robert allen ?what about morrad hakar ?

Hopkins will damage that young man.
Sir_Jose 10-07-2004, 07:54 PM Hopkins will damage that young man.
Pretty much what I think
let s put him with morrad hakkar to see what he can do in front of a top middleweight .
Exciterx24 10-07-2004, 08:23 PM I still think that Joppy has a chance. This is his shot at redemption.
Dr.Depravity 10-07-2004, 09:44 PM Joppy is a slickster, but I think Taylor will be too strong for him. I think its a decent move up. At least people wont be able to say that he was pushed up too soon.
Tha Greatest 10-07-2004, 10:12 PM Ya Another Taylor Fight!!
bigdlb12 10-07-2004, 10:15 PM Wow! I must have a 6th sence, I was just watching the Joppy vs Trinidad fight on demand and was wondering who would win if joppy fought DLH. Joppy went 12 rounds vs Hopkins and was ko by trinidad.

I thought he retired to :D but its a step up in competition for Taylor. At least if Taylor wins he could say he beat a real heavyweight fighter. I think Jermain Taylor will be great and Boxing's star in the future.

lol understatement....joppy was knocked down knocked out then knocked the **** outta boxing.
and his fight with hopkins..if joppy had any ambition of winning that night he also would of got ktfo like tito did.
hopkins laid a one sided brutal beating on joppy and he did enough to hang in but never made any attempt to win.
joppy the joker... :D

Why is it regardless of the fact that they post their stories, sometimes days late, they have the balls to write "Remember Where You Heard It First!"
They just posted the news on Castillo-Corrales and it was posted on this site days ago, even before the redesign.
