I like the jab right hand left hook, but I can't use it much because of my style and my height/reach. Though I do love the 3 jabs and right hand. Ringo 08-17-2006, 02:42 AM left jab, left hook, right uppercut. (There used to be a knee blow and a left hook kick as well, but that was back in the martial arts days.) Hitman18 08-17-2006, 05:32 AM For me any combo at all is good. Personally though, what I catch myself doing the most on the bag is a fast one two, then a very fast and powerful left hook to the head, then the same fast powerful right hook to the head. That should also stun the other fighter. When I'm sparring, I do this combo and even if its blocked, dodged, or I just plain miss, it will still back up or wow the other fighter. But if it lands which it does a lot, then it will really hurt them. -GBGQ- 08-17-2006, 06:01 AM I've been working on Jab, Jab, left hook to body, right hook to body, straight right, left hook, jab. Just want it to be as quick and strong as possible. platinummatt 08-17-2006, 09:33 AM I have never sparred, but when doing padwork I get told my 1,2 is my best combo. I think a 1,2 to the head, left hook to the head straight to the solar plexus then another 1,2 maybe good NexBesThang 08-17-2006, 09:39 PM the 1, 2, 3. Triple left hook. Right uppercut, left hook, overhand right. Left uppercut, left hook, straight right. Prolly it. My best though is the triple left hook. Tyson_21 08-18-2006, 08:23 AM jab, jab, straight right, left hook, right hook, left uppercut Yaman 08-18-2006, 09:17 AM Jab, jab, left to the body, Right to the head a la Gman. In The Heart 08-18-2006, 02:00 PM There is no good combo it depends obviously and if you stay with your so called signature then the opponents trainer will notice and you will get you ass handed to you. NJFighter91 08-18-2006, 03:02 PM It's not really my best combo, more of my favorite combo instead. SquareCircle 08-19-2006, 12:20 PM There is no good combo it depends obviously and if you stay with your so called signature then the opponents trainer will notice and you will get you ass handed to you. good observation, even if you have a great signature shot, if you win say your first 5 fights with that then go on to fight someone a little tougher, I guarantee their trainer will have watched tape on you and prepare their guy for what you got Toddy 08-19-2006, 01:21 PM left jab, right straight, left hook then right hook to the body Dunkeroo 08-19-2006, 11:57 PM There is no good combo it depends obviously and if you stay with your so called signature then the opponents trainer will notice and you will get you ass handed to you. that doesn't mean that you don't have a good combo. I'm not saying to use it everytime, because obviously they will pick up on it, just like in any sport. Ringo 08-20-2006, 12:03 AM I saw a Roy Jones Jr. combo today in a highlight clip that is my new favorite. Four rapid-fire left hooks in a row. It was absolutely nuts. I'd try it, but I'd probably end up on my back because I'd be too slow. and what 08-21-2006, 11:33 AM My favorite would be: left jab, left jab, right cross, left hook, right cross, left hook eazy_mas 08-21-2006, 04:31 PM I saw a Roy Jones Jr. combo today in a highlight clip that is my new favorite. Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather are one of the few boxers who could throw there powerpunch without doing there jab espcially Roy. Roy is so quick that he trains with making triple left hooks so double left hook is like a normal person straight right or even speed of the other fighter jab. That is why he is oneof the best fighters in the 90s |
