I'm thinking of getting a 100 pound Water Heavy Bag from TItle training to use with my heavybag/speedbag stand. Do any of you have experience with a foam water bag? I heard its great because its easier on the wrists and doesnt settle. Also shipping is alot cheaper for me since the fill doesnt ship with the bag. Would you guys reccomend this or just a regular nylon bag.

Foam waterbag=garbage.
There are water bags that have no foam, just the bladder and the skin. I dont remember what brand we had but at Galaxy all we had were water bags. I recommend the water bags but not with the foam in them.

I don't know anything about water heavybags but why don't you just buy a regular heavy bag which I know is better than any water bag?

well im buying an everast 2 in 1 stand/platform for a speedbag/heavybag and theres an option to add on a 100 lb water heavy bag for about 100 dollars. was wondering if i should take this deal or just buy the stand and head to sport authorirty for the heavy bag.

I say buy the stand and go to sports authority for a normal heavy bag.

Are you able to put a heavybag on your ceiling like in your basement or something? Because those combo sets are hard for the working on the heavybag since you can't go around it and after a while 100 lbs. is too light.

do not buy the stand. You don't get to move around the bag and do proper bag work and the stand wobbles when you do the speed bad buy the stands seperate. I swear it is a waist of money. Joe frazier hung his heavy bag from a tree's horizontal limb. try that.

im currently renting a house and it would be too much of a hassle going through the landlord and such to hang a bag from the ceiling.

Can you join a gym?
i live in Honolulu, and there arent that many gyms, but im going to try and join one. I'm still going to High school so its hard to always get down there, thats why I wanted to get my own bag to train at home as well as at a gym.

Since you have no other option, just buy that stand. But buy a regular heavy bag with it, don't get the water one.

When your fighting punching the guy in his ribs its not gunna be all soft you may as well get used to hittin something hard. I odnt have experience with water heavybags, but i use normal heavybags at my gym and my wrists never hurt if you wrap your hands, wear gloves, and punch right you should be fine.
