People who feign empathy with Islam to look open-minded, or up on current events, piss me off too. It's like this one ******* the other day who was sitting here in all honesty trying to tell me that the Muslim people are peaceful, and that their religion is based on peace.... meanwhile, their same religion is telling them not to beat off, not to honor women, not to have any kinda fun whatsoever, that they'll be rewarded for killing themselves as long as they're screaming something to Allah while they do it, and a whole slew of other ****... and on top of all that, as peaceful as they're supposed to be, they've been fighting each other for hundreds of years, over stupid **** like this.

All religions are a piece of **** though, take Catholic religion, they forbid priest and nuns to have intercourse or to have lust full thoughts, but at the same time is goes against all that is right and natural. When the discovery of the new world the Christian/Catholic religion also managed to caused severe pain to those that did not think like them... take Santeria for example, that is African religions (GODS) transformed to catholic images so they would not be beaten for praying to other Gods.

The concept of all religions are the same, be good, kind, thoughtful, mindfull, peace, not war...but when crazy people start to lead and power becomes an issue it all goes down hill. What men has created can not be perfect...there for religion isn't either.

religion is dying out slowly over the years. less people go to church as time goes by and put more faith in science. You can pray to God but its going to be a doctor taht helps your child through Cancer. Then again science has furthered weapons and put them in the hands of religious fanatics of all kinds and has taken credit for such monstrous devices as the A-Bomb,Mustard and phosphorus gas weapons and various other examples of progress that lead to shame.

There is a point. It's that Islam hasn't made the progressive changes like other modern religions to become contemporary and applicable to current times. Sure, there were Christian crusades, Jewish crusades, but the only major religion today that is still stuck in caveman mode is Islam.

A lot of people will say, "Militant Islam" and Islam are not the same. But when has there EVER been a major Islamic religious leader come out and say flat out... the people of al Qaeda, Islamic Jihad, Hizbollah, etc etc and all their sympathizers are not Muslims and are going to hell? Never! Because they are all on the same side.

I would say that Islam hasn't developed like a majority of other religions due to the areas it is most prevalent being almost 3rd world areas, and the devotion these people have to it...

Personally, I trust no one normally anyways, so now anyone who resembles a middle eastern person is suspect number 1 in my eyes

One can even argue that science is a religion itself, just uses different criteria and methods.

or maybe they dont have the privelidge of freedom of speech cause they are under tyranical leadership. The government wont speak out cause its better to have terrorists on your side then systematically tearing your regime apart.

It's not about the religon. People just dont like to belly up to the responsibility of their own actions, so they find a scape goat. These people have found their religon to blame, which is funny since it's teachings are so opposite compared to what their actions are. But instead of having to say, "We are pissed at the US" they say, "Allah is bringing vengence upon you." Totally takes the blame off of them, in their own eyes at least.

You are going to find radicals in everything. Not only religon. Take enviromentalists for example. Industrialists. Gothics. Anything that can be taken too far, someone will do it. It's these people who are most remembered, and therefore remembered as whatever they associated themselves with.

yeah well... we could go on forever about the the Catholic Church and keeping their molestations a secret for years upon years. The only reason why there is such an apology its because it has become a public issue, it has gotten out of their grasp.

People do bad things when they come from bad places. The most concentrated areas with Muslims in them are in **** holes like the midle east and Africa. People overseas sympathize with them because they share things in common. I just say nuke Iraq and see what happens.

The day some ****head with a copy of the Quoran (or whatever that ****ed up Allah book is called) decided he was mad at America is the day hundreds of years of middle-eastern counter culture got ****canned.

Ya see, as a world power, America has a huge responsibility to maintain composure, promote peace and advocate our spot as a defining & prominent presence among the pantheon of the world's nations. People see an attack on America, and suddenly, every newspaper in the world is printing stories on it. How we respond sets the tone for the way the world continues to function, whether other countries want to deny it or not. No matter how much other nations despise, envy, hate, disapprove of or condemn America, there is no denying that we represent one side of the axis upon which this world turns, based on our role today. Our economy, our technology, our military... we are mighty as a people, and this is a huge part of why other nations hate us.

Islam, for example, is an oxymoron within itself... there is no such thing as a nation of Islam, yet they constantly refer to this as some type of overseeing entity in their actions and their ways. Bad Boy is right... they are all on one side, and the differentiation between radical Islam and non-radical Muslims is consistently blurred by empathetic world powers who claim no responsibility for the actions of their own people. The examples we set are set in direct contrast to the messages relayed by their actions, and because of this, those local to the conflict find it easier to strongly stand against one side. Which side? Depends really on where ya live.

The day I see "suicide bomb" or "terrorist" under the definition of "peace", I'll believe that Islam is more than a ****ed-up preconception of how some dude behind the counter at 7-11 wants to see the world work. That may be harsh... but so was watching hundreds of our fathers, mothers, brothers an sisters crushed beneath 2 collapsing buildings because one caveman sandcrab **** had a bad turbin day.
