March 27, 2003 -- The 11-year-old son of rap impresario Damon Dash was busted after bringing what he said was his father's pot to school and showing it to his teacher, his mom told The Post yesterday.
"He told on his father. He didn't like what was happening," said Linda Williams. "I know he shouldn't have brought the pot to school."

Dash and Williams are embroiled in a bitter custody battle over the youngster.

The boy now lives with his father, who has a home in Manhattan and previously lived in Alpine, N.J.



His mom, who lives in Freeport, L.I., is seeking custody.

The bizarre show-and-tell took place on March 10, Williams said, when the sixth-grader told his teacher at an Alpine school he was unhappy his father was smoking pot - then displayed it.

On March 14, four days after the teacher turned him in, Dash removed his son from the school.

The boy, whose name is being withheld, is facing a drug-possession charge after the teacher called cops. He is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court in Hackensack, according to his mother.

Dash was arrested yesterday on a warrant for "absconding with a subject child" after Williams claimed he had told her he was taking the boy to live in California. He was freed after appearing in Manhattan Family Court. A trial date was set for April 3.

Dash, whose Roc-A-Fella empire is worth $300 million, could not be reached for comment

Rapper Snoop Dogg sued over voice-mail

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Beware of leaving voice-mail messages on rap stars' answering machines -- they might make it part of their act.
In a lawsuit filed on Monday against rap star Snoop Dogg, a California man claims that his life is in danger because the rapper used a phone message he left in a song taunting Snoop's rival, rap-mogul Suge Knight.

According to court papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the man identified as "John Doe" left a voice mail for Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, last October only to learn later that it became part of a song called "Pimp Slapp'd" on the album "Paid the Cost to be Tha Boss".

That message, the plaintiff said, included expressions of support for Broadus in his "turf war" with Knight, who was released from prison last month after serving two months on parole violations. He also served five years in prison in the late 1990s.

The suit also claimed that the plaintiff notified the defendants in January that the recording was sampled without his permission. Doe said that when he asked Broadus why the recording was used, the rap star replied that he had sampled it because "it was so real."

"Unfortunately it is so real that (the) plaintiff now fears for his life ... Mr. Knight is a burly, convicted felon and is rumoured to be involved with gangs, to threaten, assault and hurt people," the lawsuit said.

The suit, which claims misappropriation of voice and intentional infliction of emotional distress, asks for damages and injunctions against further distribution of the album.

Knight owned Death Row Records when Snoop recorded for the label but the two had a falling out. In the song "Pimp Slapp'd", Snoop taunts Knight over his prison term, claims he's jealous of his financial success and calls Knight "a bitch."

The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court also named Priority Records, Capitol Records and Doggy Style Records as defendants.

A spokeswoman for the record labels was not immediately available for comment.

The office of Snoop Dogg's manager referred inquiries to a publicist at Capitol, who was also not immediately available. A spokesman for Knight had no immediate comment.

Staff at the Prince of Wales Drive farm called officers after an employee reportedly observed the man receive oral sex from one cow and one calf at the farm on Tuesday.

In December, Edwin "Louie" Deason injured the 50-pound Vietnamese potbellied pig so severely it had to be killed because one stab wound left it unable to walk.

Prosecutors said Deason made drunken, belligerent comments to sheriff's deputies. One deputy testified Deason was covered in blood and had pig feces all over him when he said he cut it.

Assistant State Attorney Cynthia Simpson said that even if slaughtering the pig for a meal, it was not being done quickly and painlessly.

Deason's attorneys argued in the one-day trial on today that a neighbor was the one who plunged a rusty knife into the pig. Deason's attorneys maintained he later tried to sever the pig's carotid artery to put it out of its misery, but the blade was too dull.

Topless woman attacks picnic

A Vietnam veteran and his family have been attacked by a topless woman while having a picnic at a beach.

The man was forced to shield himself with a fold-up table as the woman lunged at him with a 25cm knife.

``It was unbelievable _ she was shouting that she was going to kill me,'' the 52-year-old businessman said yesterday.

The man, who asked not to be named, was on Darwin's Nightcliff foreshore when he was pestered by beggars.

``When I told them to go away they became extremely aggressive and abusive,'' he said. ``A woman in her mid-30s was the worst.

``She disappeared behind a toilet block and then reappeared, topless, brandishing a huge knife.

``She came straight at me, calling me all sorts of names and said she was going to kill me.

``I had to pick up the fold-up table to protect myself. She slammed the knife into it.

``My wife was terrified.

``Luckily the itinerant's brother turned up on the scene and threatened to break her arm if she didn't put the knife down.

``She eventually did and we just packed up and left.''

The man said he reported the incident to a passing police patrol but there was nothing they could do because they were on their way to police headquarters with a full load of drunken itinerants. Opposition Leader Denis Burke said the battle to control the itinerant problem in Darwin had been lost.

``The Government has done nothing to stop drunks and itinerants harassing people on the streets,'' he said.

``It's about time they got tough with these people.''

Community Development Minister John Ah Kit said the itinerant problem was not new.

``From day one we acknowledged the itinerant problem was bad _ and has been getting worse,'' he said.

``I have personally acknowledged, as an Aboriginal, I am offended by the hassle and humbug of itinerants in Darwin and other towns.

``Instead of walking away from the problem, we are tackling it in partnership with over 40 community and government groups.''
