would a trainer still let you fight if a doctor says one of your eyes has a serious lack of vision? my brain doesn't send any messages down to my right eye so I can't see through it, but it sends messages down to my left so basically I use that one to go through everyday life, it's better then normal too.

Alot of fighters back in the day fought with blindness/whathaveyou. Having said that, this isn't back in the 40's and you aren't fighting for money (I assume). I think it's unsafe to fight with a bummed eye and it could cause alot of injuries that may last for a short time or they may be permanent...you never know.

has there ever been any recorded injuries related to vision throughout the history of amateur boxing?? is it possible to end up blind in your opinion; after all, aren't the referees pretty strict when it comes to giving standing 8 counts after hard shots when it comes to the amateurs...
