on the real the filipino langauge encompasses a lot of dialects but in the 60's there was a national language comission that was tasked to set a national language and the result id the tagalog language(the language of the people in the capital) and some english words that sounds the same in filipno thats why when filipinos talk you hear a little bit of english plus the fact that some words in english does not have an equivalent word in tagalog or any native langauage or some sounds bad that its much better mixed than the local word

Our medium of instrusction in school is english and filipino. This is a result almost half a century colonization by the americans. We mixed english in our pinoy conversations because the words just pop out or there is no equivalent tagalog words.

We speak english well and a proof to that is how pacman answers in english during interviews. LOLOLOL!!!! :D

We call that Taglish......it's part of our evryday language. If you would notice there are actually spanish words in there too.

the reason for that is that it's shorter typing english words than tagalog words. we find it hard speaking in straight english that we mix it w/ our own tagalog words. this happened a lot in our country and we call this language as TAG-LISH (combination of english and tagalog!).
