I would say Super Lightweight/Light Welterweight (140 lbs.). They have four credible champions, a credible interim champ, and several very good contenders, including two undefeated guys named Mayweather & Hatton.

It's hard to say who's next at that point because it's hard to classify what guys are truly at 154 and 160. I guess super featherweight would get my nod at #2 (Morales, Barrera, Casamayor are a tough trio to beat) but middleweight has gotten very intriguing as of late, whereas it was the Bernard Hopkins Invitational for about three years.

I'd agree on those 3 weights being the most deep for talent

In terms of talent, probably Jr. Middleweight. Ouma, Wright, Phillips, Mosely.....P4P, 154 has more ranked fighters than even Jr. Welter.

Maybe HW? LOL 147 has always had great talent but now I will say 154

130 is up there as well. Ya got Morales, Casamayor....Barrera moving up there. Don't know how successful he will be.

Featherweight not may not be the most talented at this precise moment, but you have to admire the fact that there is always an abundance of talent down there. I cannot even remember the last time that the featherweight division was not one of the most exciting! And even now with the likes of Pacquiao, Marquez and the occasional Barrera- it can at least make a case for itself.

You are such a dunce.

In a ****ed up way he's correct, most of the top 20 could win a real world title!

I thinks its more to do with the lack of good fighters at the top! :D At least its interesting for once.

featherweight, welterweight, and middleweight! they've got the best right now! it makes it more exciting, now that trinidad is back from early retirement! with trinidad back in harness, there would be more big fights coming, these would include spinks, dela hoya, quartey (i heard he's coming back, too), plus the unbeatable hopkins!

You beat me into this, so I'll just concur with you. I would also include JMM in the featherweight list. Though he is not an exciting fighter he still belongs to that elite group. ;)

Harrison I notice that you didn't put Morales in at Featherweight. He should be Jr. Light? Oh, well, ok. My pick is Jr. Welter. For reasons that you mentioned above, plus, those just outside the elite circle (both veterans and up-comers)who add such depth to the division:

Leonard Dorin
Gregorian
Leija
Urkal
Courley
Singmanasak
Salita
D. Hopkins
Mesquita
Bahari
and there's another Cotto, Jose Miguel, (your list includes Miguel Angel, I presume)who is 24-0-0. Miguel Angel is 21-0. :)

:)My additional list is not ranked. They're just the fighters who, I think, lend additional excitement to the division.

Note: Many journals list Juan Diaz as a jr. welter. So much the better. :D

My favorite is the LWW right now. It's the most exciting as far as match-making IMO
