Fresh off a non-title first-round TKO victory over Semmy Schilt on the 24th of November, it was announced yesterday that Pride heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira will make his first title defense since winning the belt one year ago. Nogueira faces Pride number one contender Emelianenko Fedor, who steps into the championship bout following a TKO of Heath Herring.

Looking forward to this one.
And, no, none of Noguiera's fights after he beat Herring were title fights. So his fights with Inoue, Sapp and Schilt were all non-title.

I think Fedor will put up a much better fight than you expect Kimura, but I will still be betting on Nog....

This will be a good fight... I predict Nog but Fedor is f'n tough as nails.

Nogueira looked sloppy against Schilt. But I'm positive that'll he'll beat Fedor.

Both of them have an amazing background, Pride, Rings etc. We know how tough is Fedor from the guard but Minotauro is a class apart himself so I say its going to be nog by sub. at the end of 2 round.
