Uusually after you get some or have some sort of pleasure your more calm for some reason, which I've never tried either before a match or practice I can't tell you, if it improves you or not. I imagine it would, since you'd be more relax not trying to kill someone out there, if you didn't get any. So there's an honest answer. Without a criticizing sentence! :eek:

Every Trainer, Phys Ed Teacher, or anything of that nature has always told me that it weakens you...Now People will tell you that this is a myth because of exatly what 4cornermessiah said but All those people that said it wasn't a myth have more proof...Sex uses the testosorone hormone...Testosorone is where strength/endurance comes from (more or less) so by releasing Testosorone through Sexual Activity yes you will become relaxed but your releasing the source of your strength...In turn Women Boxer/BodyBuilders should have as much sex as possible....

This is true because I have proof with myself (thats the best way to put it)...It weakens you and makes you alittle sluggish but you feel relaxed I suppose for about an hour and then your mucsles tense up....

The answer to your question is no you shouldn't, nor should your drink, or do drugs (though You shouldn't do drugs anyway if your a serious athlete)

well my one trainer said something different about masterbating-

"So my dad used to say not to masterbate because I would go blind. So I asked him I said Dad can I just do it until I need glasses"

For someone, sex/masturbate make u loose some testosterone (it'll be remade, i don't know how many time it'll take) and calories... for others, they'll improve it. With minerals (zinco) u'll help hormons remaking.

Anyway, if u want should to have sex, don't make urself any problem! I think such pleasure is better than sparring's... :D ;)

I don't believe it refreshes itslef in 2 minutes...Understand that Testosterone is the basis of Anabolic steroids, it creates strength endurance and ultimately andrenaline, in 7 hours you won't have all of your testosterone....Let me give you and example, its like if you don't have sexual activity for a week it will secrete more pleasure then if you just did it an hour ago....You can do it an hour after the first sexual activity but it won't be as pleasureable...So yes 7 hours later you will not be dead tired but you won't be as alive as if you had not done it in 3 days...

In other words, abstinance seems to cause ****es in Testosterone at 7 day intervals (7 and 13) but not much of a difference the rest of the time; day 8 being somewhat of a testosterone crash from negative feedback.

Sexual activity can even cause a slight peak in testosterone levels 6 or 7 hours afterward.

Personally, I've been abstinant for extended periods of time and would hardly say i was energized during that period.

The way I look at it is this: your balls are related to the flow of testosterone, if you want normal t-levels, then expect to operate your wedding tackle normally. Everything in moderation.

The testosterone released after sex or masturbation is like less then .1% from somewhere I read. It doesn't cause harm to amount of testosterone and stuff but it does calm you.

my teacher said that its better for ur body because u are refreshing the old testosterone with new testosterone or something like that and if u dont ejaculate in like a month that ur body does it for u

I had engaged before lifting weights (bout 4 hours) and my max dropped about 40 lbs.....This also carried over to boxing because I did the same thing before I went to the club (stupid me) and I got tired very fast...

This is just me maybe your different I don't know but

-These were two seperate events not the same day..

i don't know if this is different from boxing/lifting etc. but i used to play baseball and once i think i jerked it before 3 games in a row and i went on a tear including a home run in each game and i just missed out on a few other homers during that stretch

I did... once it was around a month I didn't feel too good; had this image in my head that i was like those bodybuilder chix who lose their menstruation when getting ready for a comp.

Personally, if I suffer from anything it's performance anxiety & being overly tense, so the relaxed feeling afterwards is usually a welcome thing for me.

Obviously if you were boinking, you weren't resting; which could explain your poor numbers in the weight room: 40 pounds implies you were tired (and probably mentally unfocused), not just low test levels.

Meaning that it's not all about testosterone because think of the energy spent trying to get that orgasm. Two days before or three before the fight, leave that to the specialist. But the same day or even the night before it's best to conserve as much energy as possible.

sex has a positive effect on your athletic performance if you engage in it regularly, as it heightens testosterone levels and makes you happier in general, but a negative effect if you engage in it any closer that 2 or 3 hours prior to a fight or athletic event.

Every time u blow ur load u can dump up to 7mg of zinc. Too much sex is bad when training as u need extra zinc.

zinc is ness to maintain normal serum testosterone, inadequate zinc levels prevent the pituitary gland from releasing luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormones,which stimulate test production.Zinc also inhibits the aromatase enzyme that converts testosterone into excess estrogen.

If u have lots of sex like me when training suppliment extra zinc with ur multivit and minieral

I don't get why it's such a huge topic.

Obviously you don't wanna engage in any activities that are going to tire you out the day of a fight, but going too far the other way's a bit silly as well.

There is no scientific evidence that sex makes you physically weak. But sex makes you soft. You lose that killer instinct. You lose your drive to prevail. That's why if you lift weights, as someone mentioned, you can't lift as much because you lose your will to do so after sex. If you get jab in the face, it hurts more. It forces you to give up easier. Basically, it has a huge psychological effect on you, leading to decrease physical performance.
