i have little cousins there parents want me to train them, what age would be good to start? ive heard of people getting started at age 4.

perfect age is like 8. cause they can understand the steps more at that age

Well you could atleast train them anyway. I would, but I wouldn't throw them out there for a while.

you shouldnt force it on them, try having them pick it up themselves

usually people, when they get things forced on them, tend to drop out of it or lose the excitement they have for it...

what i mean is, teach him one thing every week so he can sloooowly pick stuff up

Some kids start as soon as they can stand up here. The main thing is adult supervision and protective equipment.

wow i reckon that might be overdoing it. id have thought probably ten? you'd want some sense of maturity instilled before you are teaching them potentially dangerous skills.

i personally wouldn't even try to train a person under the age of 12 or so. maybe if a kid was 10 or 11, i would start to introduce a few things about self defence. however, it would mostly be structured games that relate to boxing or fighting. ideally, i think it's alright to start sparring or sparring exercises in the early to mid teens. myself though, i started full contact sparring when i was 10 or 11.
