View Full Version : Favorite finisher when grappling?
XorSystem 10-21-2002, 12:59 PM I know I'll probably give up one of my tricks when saying this, but hopefully everyone will forget before I hit Cali
but whenever I get a back mount, instead of going for the neck, which I fake doing, I slide my left leg around their shoulder and roll them into a reverse triangle... I hit it sooo many times and the only way people have avoided it was taking the back door right at the transfer point when I'm bringing my leg up. Most people think I'll simply lock in the hooks and try for a reverse naked choke, but I hit the triangle fast and it always submits
Purity 10-21-2002, 01:32 PM sounds pretty cool. you'll have to show me that one.
Waylander 10-21-2002, 04:14 PM Sometimes I fake a keylock, and then just choke them out with my forearm.
SmartAzz 10-21-2002, 04:41 PM fake the triangle... and hit the armlock.. good and effective move.
TuffGuy 10-21-2002, 04:44 PM I like when I am in someones guard and a i fake to pass and jump to the heel hook. It works all the time!!
realkaps 10-21-2002, 06:12 PM I like using the armbar but I usually end up getting the people I grapple with in guillotine chokes......
handjobs4dollars 10-21-2002, 06:49 PM keylock is mine.
The Golden Bear 10-21-2002, 07:02 PM Fart to the face.
James Fulton 10-21-2002, 10:25 PM Armbar or triangle are my favorite
seldomTap 10-21-2002, 10:46 PM triangle or kimura from my guard.
sleevechoke if wearing a gi or arm bar from mount.
key lock or kimura from side control
seldom also likes to try and finger his oppponents bum hole
kcfman 10-22-2002, 12:28 AM Finishing? Once in a choke sunken in, I release just a little before they pass out and re apply the choke and shake their head like a pit bull.

Same here James...
Xorsystem and Waylander, I don't know what the hell a reverse triangle is... What kind of people do you catch with that? Is the opponent's face facing away when you have this applied? And Waylander, who taps out to a forearm choke? And that's your favorite submission?!?! A FOREARM CHOKE?!?!
and oh yeah James, are you really with the Renzo Gracie Academy? They have the best non-gi grapplers in the U.S.
Allison 10-22-2002, 11:59 AM Tuffguy: Thats my husband's favorite. He gets me in that one all the time.
ensanity 10-22-2002, 03:35 PM [size=24:4336677be9][b:4336677be9]KNEEBAR[/b:4336677be9][/size:4336677be9]
XorSystem 10-22-2002, 06:39 PM God, what else did they call it...
a triangle arm-bar, I dunno what else it's called Yellow Ke
but basically, it's a triangle choke, except they're facing away and instead of a choke, it's an arm-bar... I've seen a few people hit it in competition, and when rolling around, like I said, I catch people in it a lot...
