They're slightly heavier than other boxing shoes, but you won't feel like a slug out there. Your footwork will be fine like it would be in regular shoes. NaThBoiii 07-07-2006, 08:06 PM Ooo.. Gotta look good in the ring you know ;) lol Your not planning to box in those gloves are you? I'm pretty sure your not, but I don't want to take second chances. Personally I dislike the shoes, but I dislike a lot of shoes because I'd rather wear a fancy pair like how most of Roy's pairs were..they were custom as far I know, but if I knew who made them I would buy myself a few pairs.. :boxing: NaThBoiii 07-08-2006, 06:04 AM We'll I wanna use those gloves for bag work and sparring.. Pork Chop 07-08-2006, 09:02 PM Cleto Reyes don't have a ton of padding over the knuckles. You might be able to get away with using your sparring gloves as bag gloves with, say IMF Tech gloves or Ringside Ultimate classics- coz the padding on those 2 are pretty damn thick, but Reyes would probably be a bad idea. Guys at my old gym used to use Balazs 16 ounce gloves for bag and sparring. Everyone used the same gloves. They started out thicker than Reyes, but in no time you could feel people's knuckles through the padding. I'd say get some super bag gloves in addition to sparring gloves. Reyes are great gloves for sparring. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
