Thanks The Raging Bull 07-06-2006, 05:34 PM Does no-one know? eazy_mas 07-06-2006, 05:45 PM Yes some expert say it better to run after you take you breakfast because you body will eat up your muscle if you do so here some experts view: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/behar10.htm baya 07-06-2006, 05:46 PM i don't know of anything that can substantiate that, the only reason i run in the mornings are 1) its easier to breathe, i think due to the damp air caused by lack of sun and 2) its when i have the time. actually, its impossible to lose 3x as opposed to normal running hours - they probably mean that right after that have a pretty healthy breakfast and it fukken kicks off your metabloism like a mfer. ophqui 07-06-2006, 05:50 PM i heard a nutritionist who said something similar, although 3 times sounds massively exxagurated. What he said was the best way use running to lose weight is to run first thing in the morning before uve eaten anything (drink some water before u go) and then wait at least half an hour once u get back before u eat anything. The Raging Bull 07-06-2006, 05:56 PM Thanks for the article baya. :) The Raging Bull 07-06-2006, 05:58 PM i heard a nutritionist who said something similar, although 3 times sounds massively exxagurated. I read it on a website a couple of months ago and they said something like 3x times but i dont know how reliable the site is thats why im asking here. NJFighter91 07-06-2006, 06:08 PM There's different views on this. Some say it burns directly from fat and others say since there's no glycogen, it eats up muscle. The best thing to do is run on an empty stomach then IMMEDIATELY have a quick fast digesting carb (best is bananas) so you refill the glycogen storage. LightsOut Le 07-07-2006, 01:33 AM shit, i just finsihed reading a book by teddy atlas, the reason why he says he makes fighters run in the morning is because its somethign that you dont want to do, it teaches discipline and dedication NJFighter91 07-07-2006, 01:39 AM shit, i just finsihed reading a book by teddy atlas, the reason why he says he makes fighters run in the morning is because its somethign that you dont want to do, it teaches discipline and dedicationI never knew he wrote a book? Would i be able to buy it in a bookshop or will it be out of print? maxorido 07-07-2006, 04:48 AM i hate running on an empty stomach in the morning, i have no energy, i feel weak, and my stamina is way down. i think it's better to have a small meal and allow your body to wake up and re energize so you can have a better quality of roadwork. Erbad 07-07-2006, 04:50 AM Is this a fairly new book? Would i be able to buy it in a bookshop or will it be out of print? It's new. So you'll be able to buy it out of a bookstore. The journals were very interesting and entertaining.. Zamora 07-07-2006, 06:36 AM it doesnt burn more calories because a calorie cant tell what time of day it is. what running on a empty stomach does is creates a calorie defecit for the day - i would have a drink so that you can maintain a decent run. baya 07-07-2006, 09:07 AM shit, i just finsihed reading a book by teddy atlas, the reason why he says he makes fighters run in the morning is because its somethign that you dont want to do, it teaches discipline and dedication guess i'm a disciplined and dedicated mf'er ... yeah  The Raging Bull 07-07-2006, 10:29 AM guess i'm a disciplined and dedicated mf'er ... yeah Guess I am too lol Toddy 07-07-2006, 11:36 AM I would take a piece of fruit like an apple or banana e.t.c. just to keep youe energy levels so that you dont feel weak or tired. Toddy 07-07-2006, 04:49 PM lol weak stomach? lol only jokin baya 07-07-2006, 05:31 PM maybe - but i think that its more like i'm so concentrated on my running and breathing that trying to involve something else just ****s me all up. the_painless 07-07-2006, 07:17 PM i find it very hard to run on an empty stomach when i get up. i usually like to occupy the stomach by eating something light first then giving it a half and hour before running. I get so ****in hungry in the morning and without something to start off the day i feel shithouse! yrrej 07-08-2006, 03:53 PM Who wants to run on a full stomach?
