hey all,
I was wondering if any of you heard of the neck developer by everlast? I wanted to know if its worth it to buy and if it really can help out your neck and eventually head speed. If anyone knows any exercises to do with it (it is basically a couple leashes tied around your head with a chain extending down under your chin that holds free weights) that would help out alot too.
And before anyone brings it up, yes I have done neck bridges in the past and dont have as much success with them and they are also pretty dangerous to do as well without a spot whcih is why i would like to get the neck developer.
Thanks!

just lay on the floor like your going to do sit ups but nod your head like saying yes but dont let the back of your head touch the ground, my trainer calls them yes's and no's, hope that helps

Yep, the neck developer can develop the neck muscles, but it is not for head speed, but rather to maintain control of the head when punched so one doesn't get so much rebound of the brain against the back of the skull. That being said, taking a punch is largely individual, regardless of neck development.

I have a similar one that I found cheap at some closeout store. It was put out by Weider. It's increased my strength my neck but I don't see any difference with my head speed, at least from the neck trainer. To supplement the neck trainer, I do isometric exercises where I put my hands on my forehead and push against them, then I repeat against the back of my head and then the two sides. That is a great exercise.
