Can anyone give some serious advice on how to get this thing better? It always hurts.

I used to do it a lot during basketball
Ice to stop swelling
Just try to leave it alone and not use it
I used to just tape it during practice
It should only take 2 days

I can't not use it because I can't stop training. Actually- I am not training tonight OR tomorrow night. On Friday one of my guys is fighting in Atlanta so I am not training then either. Maybe it will finally get better!

Well I found taping it against another finger helps
Wont stop it from hurting but it will lessen the pain

Ice it 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off for a few hours a day

tape it when you train

Man, ACB.. take good care of that finger or it'll be permaently screwy.

I jammed both my thumbs at two separate times... I was stupid and didn't ice them, and it took many months for one of them to be able to bear weigh. Both of them now look like they're halfway out of the socket permaently.. Young and stupid, I was...

Which finger is it? Its hard to rest a THUMB.. :) (yeah I know Thumbs arent fingers, but...)

I've jammed my right middle finger really bad, and it took me a few months to totally use it again.

Small digit injuries SUCK, especially in our field, as I understand you're in the computer industry too, ACB :P

You can make it yourself by folding 3 business cards, cutting them in half, and tape the 2 halves with medical tape. Take the 2 pieces and splint your finger top and bottom and medical tape around the injured finger. Leave the splint on for a few weeks and vois la, you're healed.

Good advice guys.

Thanos my wife got me some stuff called bio-freeze pain rub. She uses it on her patients. It didn't help.
