Hey, you know how it is like, over time, if left unchecked, your naturally stronger side's muscles (my right) become bigger. Because i have no weights, even when i do pushups, i'm pretty sure my right side is doing most of the work.
Anyone got any ideas to even things out?
All input appreciated, peace,
Cereal.

If it's your strength, do bilateral movements like one legged squats or one armed pushups. If it's the size of the muscle, it shouldn't really matter unless your a bodybuilder.

If you can get your muscles big enough to notice a lack of symmetry doing bodyweight exercises alone, I'll give you a dollar.

If you upped the ante a little (why would anyone train themselves assymetrical to win a dollar??), you'd be losing some money. Of course you can get your muscles big AND asymetrical doing body weight exercises.

PunchDrunk, my brother has a problem with his left hand. It is like a tennis players body. He has one huge arm and the other one is big but it is a noticeable difference. How do you correct this? Train for strength on the left one, and just stop training the right one in general?

Consistant weight lifting and they will even out.

Is it bad to have muscles that are asymmetrical, if you work them out the same?

if you lift weights eventually they WILL even out, but it can take time.

He should lay off the constant masturbating :D

Nah, he should still train both arms. Is there a difference in strength? If so, extra work on the weaker one should even the problem out, over time.

Hard to generalize. Which muscles are we talking about? Most people ARE asymmetrical.

i'm on about pecs here mate, and arms but i don't really care too much about that. it's not even just body weights, i don't train too oftern, it's the years of beer lifting and general preferred usage of my right, guess weights are the only real answer. cheers, any specific regimes to be recommended?
