Rickson Gracie 400-0 is this possible? Royce always said his brothers were better than him, I guess he wasn't kidding. Anyone have any additional info on Rickson? Or any of the other Gracie's?

Rickson's MMA career is not that impressive. The 400-0 is mostly street fights and ju-jitsu I believe. I've seen a lot of his MMA fights and they aren't against good opponents. If he fought anyone that was good today he would get murdered. He is rumored to be fighting Sakurabu this year, so I guess we'll find out. PHX_NINJA 06-27-2006, 11:51 PM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickson_Gracie there ya go Thanks bro. This guy is a 7th degree blackbelt. It seems that most of his fights are undocumented. His official record is 11-0. The footage I saw of him looked like he could have competed in todays MMA. Although he's 48 yrs old...... ricecrispi 06-28-2006, 02:18 AM It wasn't because competition was second rate, he made them look like it. I seen him give away position and reverse or sweep like he was walking. He is definitely the strongest and most atheletic of gracies but he is old and i heard has been smoking MJ and surfing. No training for rickson kaps 06-28-2006, 03:25 AM Rickson in his prime would'nt stand a chance against todays fighters. He like most of the other Gracie's only believe in Jiu Jitsu..... ricecrispi 06-28-2006, 05:44 PM Rickson is actually unorthodox from other gracies. He said he encorparates what he learned from yoga and capoeria into his BJJ and his style is different. He's very active in the guard in reversing positions. He's not passive like most gracies waiting for mistakes. He's a more offensive and agressive in gettingposition and with submissions I don't think he would dominante but would be very competitive in his prime though. He's just too old to compete now, even tho I hear he's gonna fight again. The Vid I saw him in showed a style similar to Matt Hughes, very strong. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
