by all means do so then tell them how retarded you are for not making a reminder thread or pm'ing people about the draft.
Dude I stickied the thread. I spent 3 bil on it. Don't start crying because your to big of an idiot to pay attention and draft with the rest of us. Sho-Nuff showed up and drafted. You need to take a chill and play the league. Stop blaming your idiocy on other people.
Dirt E Gomez 09-03-2006, 06:05 PM I strongly recommend we scrap this league and redo the draft with somebody else taking the 12th spot.
Well, we could scrap the league and have 7001 record all of the current picks... then simply insert them onto our teams of 12 man team, giving anybody who's willing 2nd II None's original team.
Also, I do wonder if he's telling the truth. I honestly don't get how Bush got drafted 2nd since assuming you didn't alter the list I'm pretty sure it takes the highest ranked players from the pool that you need to fill spots.
Dirt E Gomez 09-03-2006, 06:05 PM btw, there is no mention of a draft time anywhere on the first page or the second page. What i'm supposed to look through 20 pages to find a draft time? this league was horribly ran face it.
Who missed the draft.... just you? Sounds like it was run fine, and you just didn't put forth a little bit of effort like everybody else. Face it, you ****ed up, not 7001.

Moron...listen to me. All you had to do was look at the league home page.

It had nothing to do with anything i've done you tell me where it says a draft time anywhere onb the first 5 pages, you can't because there isn't.

That's a thought. You guys let me know what's up. I'm down for anything fair.
JMCbulls 09-03-2006, 06:09 PM 1. if u dont want to get rid of the league, im still willing to take it :)
2. if u are going to, and cant find a 12th man, if ur desperate enough to let someone in free u know who to contact
Dirt E Gomez 09-03-2006, 06:10 PM if by not putting forth the effort you mean i have a life to live then yeah you're right.
Hah, last night before I went to sleep I spent less than 1 minute to find out exactly when the draft was. I quickly went to the yahoo fantasy football home page, that took about 5 seconds. I logged in, that took about another 5 seconds. I then clicked Players and looked at how many hours/minutes/seconds there were until the draft started. I then looked at the clock. I then turned off firefox, logged off of aim/msn and turned off my computer. The entire process took less than a minute. I don't care how busy you were, you had a minute.
It had nothing to do with anything i've done you tell me where it says a draft time anywhere onb the first 5 pages, you can't because there isn't.
The league home page. It tells you everything. Takes 5 seconds. You're a moron for not paying attention.
2nd II none 09-03-2006, 06:12 PM alright you know what **** it i'll play my team here's your 1 billion points I won't **** it up for everyone else but i would have released the players i cut anyway.
2nd II none 09-03-2006, 06:14 PM 1000000000.00 points donated to 7001 successfully!
JMCbulls 09-03-2006, 06:14 PM damn, i was hoping 2nd II none would hold out a bit longer so i could get that spot.
Syd Barrett 09-03-2006, 06:15 PM Alright then. Unlock his cut players 7001.
Dirt E Gomez 09-03-2006, 06:17 PM I still like my idea, but I'll leave it in 7001's hands.
1000000000.00 points donated to 7001 successfully!
All right. But only if everybody is down. I suggest that everybody that acted like a vulture, to take off whatever players they have on waiver and give him a chance to have the best team possible.
2nd, don't get half way through the season and start this shit all over again.
2nd II none 09-03-2006, 06:20 PM I won't pull no bullshit but just know I am not happy with my team at all.
I won't pull no bullshit but just know I am not happy with my team at all.
Dude, the same thing happened to me last year except it pulled players off of my rank list that wasn't even close to being finished. But i dealt with it. Your just gonna have to really be on top of it now. Make trades and watch the free agent list.
2nd II none 09-03-2006, 06:29 PM The thing that is just pissing me off is Reggie Bush 2nd overall? how the **** does that happen? I never changed my rankings so it should have drafted by the yahoo rankings.

Maybe the Yahoo computer knows McCalister will get hurt again and Bush will become the full time starter? If it does you should thank the computer. Hell, the computer ****ed me by taking like 2-3 choices before I got a chance.
2nd II none 09-03-2006, 06:31 PM LMAO! Honestly even if he starts all season I don't see him gaining more then 1,100 yards and a max of 6 td's.
Syd Barrett 09-03-2006, 06:34 PM I actually f'd up too. I preset my players but I didn't realize until like the 8th round that I was following the Yrankings instead of Myrankings.
Joseph Addai in the 6th round.
Now I'm praying that Dominic Rhodes get's injured.
All right, I need everybody to take those players off of waiver. We'll give him the best chance possible to make a team. Does everybody agree? If you don't like this idea then speak freely. I am down with the general pop.
Dirt E Gomez 09-03-2006, 06:37 PM Also, I took the pickups I had off and wont touch any of hte players 2nd II None got rid of.

Yeah, but he nows has the chance for trades. I can't make you guys do it, but I think it would be the cool thing to do. I have players that he can trade for and so does just about everybody. I thought in the beginning we wanted this to be a competitive league? Now everybody is jumping at the chance to **** somebody else. I say give the man his team back and let him make his own moves.

2 free wins might get you closer to the playoffs... but it wont save you in the playoffs against a better team.
badblood 09-03-2006, 07:05 PM Just to be fair I'm no longer trying to claim his players BTW. They will be fair game though after the 6th.

There is no money involved so I could turn my back on the league and never look back. But if I am going to spend the time and effort on my team I don't want a bunch of bs spoiling it. I mean what is the point? I'm already in 2nd's league plus a $$ league.

I'm saying I'll probably end up regretting taking Tiki instead of Manning... not that Tiki will have a bad year... although I don't think his year will be as big as it was last year. It's not so much the demise of my team... but more the "What if" section of my team.

my pickups,

Phillip Rivers
Daniel Graham
San Diego Defense
those should give me a little help.I think Rivers will have a solid year throwing to LT and gates.

Here's the thing. I have Brandon Jacobs who will definitely take goal line looks away from Tiki. If tiki gets hurt (he is smallish and oldish) Jacob will be the man. So I was thinking If I could get Tiki it would be a good complement to Jacobs. That being said I would be willing to offer up Jacobs for the right player.

News: Chargers linebacker Steve Foley was shot by an off-duty policeman early Sunday morning in his second run-in with police in 4 1/2 months. Coach Marty Schottenheimer said the wounds were not life-threatening. "All we're worried about is that he's OK," Schottenheimer told the Associated Press in a telephone interview. Foley's agent, David Levine, told the AP that Foley was shot three times and had surgery for wounds to his leg, arm and chest. "He's out of danger at this point," Levine said. The Chargers will open the season at Oakland on Sept. 11, the day Foley turns 31.

Yeah I seen that this morning. I was gonna post up the article but I thought the whole Irwin thing was enough.
2nd II none 09-04-2006, 05:29 PM What did the idiot do to get shot?
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Chargers linebacker Steve Foley was shot near his upscale suburban house by an off-duty policeman early Sunday morning in his second run-in with police in 41/2 months.
Sheriff's officials said the early morning shooting occurred after the off-duty Coronado police officer followed a suspected drunken driver weaving in and out of freeway traffic at speeds up to 90 mph. Authorities said the driver nearly collided with several other vehicles.
Foley stopped three times, sheriff's officials said. During one of the stops, Lisa Maree Gaut, a passenger in the vehicle, yelled at the officer, authorities said.
The shooting occurred after Foley got out of the vehicle near his home and began walking toward the officer, sheriff's officials said. Gaut got behind the wheel and drove next to Foley in the direction of the officer, the officials said.
The officer identified himself, authorities said, and warned Foley he was armed. He fired a warning shot, at which point Gaut steered the car at the officer, sheriff's officials said.
"The officer fired two rounds at the vehicle," sheriff's Lt. Dennis Brugos said. "The male then came at the officer and put his right hand by his waistband and the officer fired at him."
Paramedics were called to the neighborhood in Poway, northeast of San Diego, at 3:47 a.m. and transferred a trauma victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital.
Sheriff's officials wouldn't say how many times Foley was shot or what, if any, charges will be filed against him.
Coronado police also declined to give any information about the off-duty officer. Coronado, a wealthy peninsular enclave, is across the bay from downtown San Diego. Sheriff's officials said the off-duty officer first encountered Foley on a freeway in northern San Diego.
Gaut, 25, was booked into Las Colinas Detention Facility on suspicion of DUI and assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $17,500. She was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, authorities towed a Cutlass Supreme with a purple interior late Sunday afternoon from the neighborhood of spacious ranch homes, large lots and towering eucalyptus trees.
Neighbor Kent Goodman said the car belonged to Foley. According to the Chargers' media guide, Foley and his father restored a 1971 Cutlass Supreme.
Another neighbor, Rick Jennings, said he was awake at 3:40 a.m. when he heard yelling outside. He went outside after hearing two loud pops he thought were firecrackers.
"I heard a female scream, 'Let it go! No, no, no!' And then four more shots. I heard more screaming and then two more shots and in seconds the first marked officer showed up."
Goodman, who lives three doors from Foley, said he awoke to what he thought was the revving of Foley's car.
"It sounded like his car backfired a couple times. A few seconds passed and I heard more revving and then rapid shots. They were in rapid succession," Goodman said.
Foley had lived at the Poway home for about 11/2 years.
Foley, who played at Northeast Louisiana from 1994-97, has played eight seasons in the NFL, for Cincinnati, Houston and San Diego. He signed with the Chargers in March 2004. That year he set career highs with 10 sacks and five forced fumbles.
Foley was arrested April 21 on charges of resisting arrest after police said he scuffled with officers. He also was booked on charges of battery on a police officer and public drunkenness.
The district attorney's office said recently it was not pursuing charges against Foley in that incident.
The Chargers did not practice on Sunday.
What really pisses me off is that it was an off duty officer. You know he was in plain clothes and just being a dick. He should have just called in the plate and followed at a safe distance and let someone with a cop car pull him over. Cop need to know their place when not in uniform. ****in' pigs!

Syd Barrett 09-04-2006, 09:16 PM What does BN next to some players mean?
This is your first ffl so I'll try and help you.
You have your starters each week. 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 w/r which means you can use a reciever or running back, 1 te, 1 kicker and 1 or 2 def/st which is defense and special teams. The rest of your guys are on the bench. They are mostly used when your starters have a bye week or to use in trades.
Syd Barrett 09-04-2006, 09:17 PM http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/4843/iyvfkhgvwj9.png
could be worse. Your receivers aren't great but the rest of the team is decent.

Syd Barrett 09-05-2006, 12:35 AM I made a trade with a guy in my sportsbar ffl today. I got Bledsoe and Arizona Def.
He got Brunell and Chargers def.
Is it just me or did I totally rape him on that deal?
RAESAAD 09-05-2006, 12:39 AM This is your first ffl so I'll try and help you.
Thanks....I think I got it though now anyway I read it all and talked to Badblood and he told me some things....so I am ready to rock.I did fairly well for not being there for the draft......the rankings thing 7001 told me to do went ok.
Dirt E Gomez 09-05-2006, 12:42 AM 1 minor pointer but takes some thinking to figure out..... changing around your team for the starter who will produce the most that particular week.... not nescesarily who's the best player usually.

I don't know anything about Arizonas D, but I like Bledsoe. I think Brunell's pretty good too though.
Syd Barrett 09-05-2006, 07:51 PM Listen, I pm'd 2ndIInone and he assured me that he was not going to reclaim any of the players he dropped.
i understand that 7001 wanted to give him a chance to reclaim those players if he wanted for trades or whatever but 2nd doesn't want them back. Really they are not very good players anyway. Mostly late round picks. i wouldn't take any of them but I have an open spot on my roster that needs filling. I'm just saying I think all players should be free game. El jefe has a better waiver position than me and he has mentioned he wanted to pick up Dion Branch and his team needs a lot of help. The poor guy got chicago's defense with his first pick. i think he should be allowed to claim him if he wants. I don't see any point in waiting until after the 6th. If we do then the players won't be available for the first weeks game.
I have no intention of being a vulture and swooping in and claiming all his old players but I have one roster spot to fill and i'd like to fill it.

I couldn't disagree more. I have virtually no chance at getting those players because of waiver position. That's not fair to those of us at the bottom of the list. What If he dropped all good players? The guy first on the waiver list would have the best team by default. Waiver positioning doesn't account for a manager going ballistic and dumping all his players before the season even starts.
At least the draft reverses the order for round two.
We should at least wait a couple weeks until the waiver list evens out. That way, the teams that actually need the players get them.

Don't sweat it. I'm not going after any of the top 4 players on the board. Take a shot on somebody, you could cash in. And remember the important thing--->he didn't drop good players. :)

And Branch, the Superbowl 39 MVP is going to play at some point this season. Maybe not in NE but he's going to play.

The refs were underneath the uprights and watched it go through. You were at home watching and can't reference the camera angle. Therefore, you can't be sure it didn't go though. The rabbit ears and aluminum foil on your 13inch black and white don't count as goal posts.

This is your first year right?
The first year i played fantasy football was in 1998. I played in a league with 11 friends. We threw in a couple hundred bucks each. It was randy moss's rockie season and I stole him in the 11th round. I also picked up Emmitt Smith in the 10th round. He had a down year in 97 but I knew he was going to bounce back. Also managed to pick up Robert Edwards of waivers and he had a huge year. Bottom line, I focused on that one league and wound up winning the whole thing by 1 point in the championship game. :D

what did i offer you?

McNair, Roy Williams, and Westbrook for Manning, Chambers, and C.Willams.
oldgringo 09-22-2006, 03:04 PM McNair, Roy Williams, and Westbrook for Manning, Chambers, and C.Willams.
yeah...i think i meant to put up terry glenn or andre johnson instead of williams.
i do need a quarterback however. send me a counter if manning is still on the table. anyone but LJ is on the table.

No this is an ugly game. I want to know what the hell is going on with Burrass. He must have done or said something stupid to land in the doghouse because they keep anouncing it has nothing to do with his back.
oldgringo 09-24-2006, 07:52 PM mcnair is a having a solid game, but my QB situation still sucks. i could use some help with that if anyone wants to deal.

I've got a lot more than 65 points. Manning threw 3 td's in the 4th quarter and philadelphia's defense scored a 98 yard td.

Stallworth being a last minute scratch ****ed me over. Also Parker had a huge game for Multiple_Scoregasms.
oldgringo 09-25-2006, 12:14 AM solid outing for not having LJ or glenn this week. westbrook is definitely the mvp of my team thus far. hes playing like a top 5 pick.
I NEED A RELIABLE QB!!!
oldgringo 09-25-2006, 12:26 AM badblood i offered you a trade.
badblood 09-25-2006, 09:54 AM badblood i offered you a trade.
Something about that trade didn't feel/look right so I rejected it. Maybe it's because I don't want Atlanta's defense or Mcnair anywhere near my starting QB.
RAESAAD 09-25-2006, 10:30 AM I need Roddy White to not start tonight and a big game from Lelie and Duece to beat PBDS.......but he has Dunn and Crumpler playing tonight too and he is up by 9.....I feel my first defeat approaching.......:nonono:
badblood 09-25-2006, 10:51 AM 7001 is facing his first loss also. All I need is Atlanta pass defense to step up and New Orleans pass defense to step up and BALCO will come home a winner.

oldgringo 09-25-2006, 01:53 PM Blood, that's fine that you rejected it...I was looking for something along those lines, but obviously if you don't like it then reject it. I just have so many good receivers (Edwards and Jennings on my bench) so I'm looking to move some of them.
I could use another backup RB as well if anyones interested in a wideout.

I have Drew Brees if you want to do something with him, hell I'll even do a straight up trade for a starting WR for Brees if you want.
The Fix 09-25-2006, 04:02 PM gringo i offered you a trade....
ducket and penington- fantasy points total - 54
for
edwards and rothlisberger - fantasy points total - 30
i dont expect you to take it but make a counter or something... pennington has played great so far this year...52 fantasy points. ducket has been shitty so far though.
big ben is in the negatives for fantasy points and is banged up, he probably wont be this bad the whole year but i wouldnt have him as my starter either. edwards had a breakout game against baltimore..... i thought the refs did everything in their power to get a ravens win...
Torino 09-25-2006, 05:26 PM How did your Patriots do yesterday. :buttkick:
You and buttplug.. er.. I mean Badblood aren't nice...

i really need a running back.... make me some offers phags
The Fix 09-27-2006, 08:07 PM Fix will taste defeat this week.
never happen, i will not lose to you in the fantasy sports world.
oldgringo 09-27-2006, 10:13 PM Fix I also have MAurice Morris...would you do that trade I sent you sans Jennings but with Morris instead?
Braylon is going to be a monster...you know this...I know this. He's also playing Oakland this week...
I don't think Pennington is valuable enough for me to trade away Braylon...and I don't need Duckett or McMichael. I'd need someone I could plug into my lineup.

pennington has been great so far and other than one game braylon has been shaky at best.
mcgahee is untouchable at this point.
oldgringo 09-28-2006, 02:02 AM pennington has been injury prone so far and other than one game braylon has been amazing at best.
