Gatti vs. Mayweather at 140? i know Gatti is supposed to be a limited, just about used up warrior, but with McGirt, he has looked good. Mayweather may be ridiculously skillfull, but what if gatti were to put the pressure Tarver put on Jones in their first fight? Mayweather is a great fighter, but a devestating puncher at this weight he is not......

Regardless, Floyd is WAY too fast for Arturo and will slice him to shreds.

gatti would probably try to come in like he did for the gamache fight and outweigh the hell out of floyd, size and punching power are really the only advantages he would have over floyd. gatti would probably look like a punching bag, like he did in the DLH fight.

It would be worse than the DLH fight, Yoko. Floyd is much faster but not nearly as hard of a puncher than Oscar. Floyd would be slicing and dicing Arturo up slowly and painfully.

I think it would be a interesting fight. Common sense would be enough to tell anybody that Mayweather will win this on points but i do not doubt for one second that Gatti can seriously hurt Floyd Mayweather. Gatti does have good boxing skills and impressive footwork but not to the level of Floyd. Gatti would definatly make a war of it because it would be his only chance to win in my opinion. If you cannot outbox Floyd then make him work and wear him down. We all know Gatti has the aggression to make any fighter fight and this would be ideal in this fight. Floyd may even be tempted to trade a few with Gatti as he seems to like to prove to his fans that he can punch and fight on the wild side like he did against Demarcus Corley. Either way i'd say Floyd takes it on late fight cuts or UD victory.

yeah, the cuts could eaisly get a tko for floyd but i think gatti's corner would throw in the towel before it went the distance, floyd could eaisly pepper him with right hands from the opening bell. the accumilation of punishment.

what is this, are you asking us who would win if gatti and mayweather collides? if yes, i think mayweather wins by unanimous decision, mayweather will dance his way with a win, he is fast on his feet, got a strong chin, too. and he's got good combinations. i maybe wrong but that's just what i think, mayweather would win by a decision.

The way he has turned his career around, it's is extremely tasteless to see someone hate on Gatti. Shocking.

I don't hate Gatti..enjoy his fights very much! I wouldn't enjoy seeing him totally outclassed though. Like him WAY too much.

I think Gatti would do better against Mayweather than he did against Oscar. (granted it would be hard to do worse) Gatti has been boxing very well lately. I think he had some surgery to help with the cuts? I could be wrong. Floyd may have to be a little cautious against Gatti, a few well placed liver shots could slow Floyd down a bit. I think it would be a pretty good fight.

I agree completely, Gatti's stoppage of Dorin was really impressive. Nobody else had done that to Dorin before. I dare say a punch like that could seriously hurt Floyd Mayweather but the question is whether Gatti could land one like that on Floyd. No doubt this fight would be explosive. :cool:

i honestly think that gatti has alot better chance than you guys give him. this would definately be an explosive fight. gatti like to take it to the body and that may slow pretty boy down some.
