Today I decided to go to the mom and pop Italian restaurant at the corner. I felt like eating good and being alone. As soon as I walked in the door, there was the most beautiful Italian man standing close to the register, he must have been in his 80’s, but he was decked out in a black Armani with a black silk shirt, hand manicured, hair perfectly combed back gleaming with good old fashion hair jelly. He was suave… and he knew it…lol, his wife was dressed in the same classy fashion, of course she could’ve done without the 2kg of makeup, but still, they were radiant. He was such a gentleman, holding her coat, handing her purse over to her, opening the way for her to walk through, she was like a God to him and he made no fuzz in showing everyone how much he idolized her. It was beautiful to see them walk together to their car holding hands…

“They are always here for lunch you know…,” said the host… “Aren’t they great? They come here, have lunch together and then go about their day, the day they stop coming work will not be the same”.

At that moment I knew that love touches those that are aware of their surroundings…that it touches all of us who care to take a moment and enjoy life’s gift…
