View Full Version : Hurt My Elbow In..
LOLORSKATES 06-22-2006, 11:59 PM I hurt my right elbow tonight in sparring when my opponent and I kinda collided whenever he was going in for a hold and my elbow still hurts. Would it get better after I go to bed? I'm just worried about it, because I have a match on saturday and I dont want to go out there fighting one handed.

Is it pain or is it injury? You have to decide.
Your probably still going to feel it on saturday. If its not an injury then you will have to work through it. Pain is something that in time you will learn to control, dont let it control you.

you should stay off of it anyway...you have a fihgt coming up all you have to do is shadowbox and light bag work....
shouldnt be sparring day before fight, so it should heal up

It just feels sore anyway, I wouldn't doubt that because my arms are killing me from parrying shots whenever I bring my punches back. My opponent kept trying to hit to the body and my elbow kept knocking his hands away :D

Not entirely sure yet, my coach probably has some of his son's fight videos and other things like that. I want to see his son's videos big time! :D He was a 7 time state champion and 5 time national champion. :D

He'll probably be showing us fights where someone messes up big time. So basically he uses it as an example for us and not do it in the ring.

Zigga 06-23-2006, 10:32 PM If its been damaged by someone hitting it thats good. If u hurt it by punching thats gonna be a tear or ligament damage or something more seroius. I would ice it and if it aint gone in two week see a doc.

PessimisticPug 06-23-2006, 11:19 PM You want to watch fights that will help you in the ring. Close your eyes and visualize things happening. Pause, look at you positiong and feel the follow through. It does a world of wonders for you. You might not get it at first but the more you do it the more things just start happening for you in the ring.
