Apparently they're getting pretty well into development now.

And it seems that eventually these things will sell for about $68,00 (US)

Now the only question is safety. People can barely drive as it is, the thought of them flying is kinda scary.

How long has this been going on?

This guy has a great con going!

In 2003, the Securities and Exchange Commission (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Securities_and_Exchange_Commission) sued Moller for civil fraud (Securities And Exchange Commission v. Moller International, Inc., and Paul S. Moller, Defendants) in connection with the sale of unregistered stock, and for making unsubstantiated claims about the performance of the Skycar. Moller settled this lawsuit by agreeing to a permanent injunction and paying $50,000.[17] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moller_Skycar#cite_note-16) In the words of the SEC complaint, "As of late 2002, MI's approximately 40 years' of development has resulted in a prototype Skycar capable of hovering about fifteen feet above the ground."[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moller_Skycar#cite_note-17)

I've seen a special on this...They are so far away from being reality...The ones that do exist are a joke at best. But just like the first planes and automobiles to some extent I guess...

I doubt your kid's kids live to see flying cars used in any sort of public situation.
